Anyone have a good recipe?

I like the flavor, but not the heat, so I would want mild! DH likes medium; if the flavor is good I can eat those sometimes too, but I much prefer the mild ones.

I also like sort of sweet and spicy, but DH wants the regular buffalo wings.

We got some "Louisiana "Wildly Wicked" Wing Sauce" at the store the other day and I planned to try it tonight. But I tasted the sauce and I think it is going to be too hot and I am not sure I like the flavor either.

So now I don't know what to do. Every recipe I have found online uses hot sauce.

I found a recipe for cajun wings that sounds good, but it is not saucy.

This is my receipe. The guys at FH's work BEG him to have me back them to bring in. They are gone in no time.

Ingredients:

1 Bottle Frank's Red Hot Sauce (trust me, this has a mild flavor, we aren't big on hot either)
Chicken wings
Flour
Pepper
Peprika
Salt

FOR BAKING:

1. Preheat your oven to 350.

2. In a large bag, combine flour, with salt, pepper and peprika. I ususally do about 2 cups of flour and just add a good amount of the spices.

3. Shake the wings in the bag and shake off excess flour.

4. Place the wings on a cookie sheet and bake for about 20 minutes (10 minutes each side) until the wings start getting crispy.

5. After you flipped the wings and they cooked for the full 20 minutes, brush on the sauce and put back in the oven for 5 minutes, repeat for the other side of the wings.

6. Remove and enjoy!!

FOR FRYING:

1. Preheat your fryer to 350 and oven to 350.

2. In a large bag, combine flour, with salt, pepper and peprika. I ususally do about 2 cups of flour and just add a good amount of the spices.

3. Shake the wings in the bag and shake off excess flour.

4. Place the wings off to the side and put into the fryer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the wings are crispy and start to float. Remove.

5. Put the wings on a cookie sheet and brush on the sauce and put back in the oven for 5 minutes, repeat for the other side of the wings.

6. Remove and enjoy!

I have also put these wings in a crockpot overnight so FH can reheat them slowly throughout the day and they are just as good.

We prefer the baking method of the sauce just because we aren't big on really saucy wings, however if this is something you guys prefer, putting the sauce in a bag and shaking the wings is the alternative method.

We also use Frank's, but we like spicy. Does Frank's make a mild? One thing you can do to cut the heat is to add melted butter. Or, you can learn to love the heat..because that's the best thing about wings!!! :hothead::D

DH prefers them so hot that it makes droplets form on his forehead. They are no good unless he's sweating. We normally order medium and then ask for a side of hot sauce so that he can dunk his wings.

Have a boo through these recipes to see if one might suit your needs - http://www.recipezaar.com/recipes.php?s_type=%2Frecipes.php&q=mild+buffalo+wings&Search=Search&Searcht=

Well DH liked the sauce we had, so I used that tonight for his. I made dry rub cajun wings for me, spicy but not hot ;)

I will keep looking for a better recipe to make next time and I will make some wild for me and hot for him :p

Are wild buffalo wings hotter than hot or just served up wearing a spicy outfit? *sorry, couldn't resist*
