Thanks ladies! AS I was posting this thread, the nurse said it was bout time to start pushing. The baby was out no more than 30 mins later. Complications with the baby made it so that we couldn't see her except for completely bundled, so the pics are only of about half her face.

The baby was in distress for awhile and when she came out she inhaled some fluids. After they suctioned her lungs, they couldn't get her to cry. I was sitting in the corner listening to "there's nothing else we can do"... "we can't get her to cry"... "the cord was wrapped around her neck". OMG I was going nuts and I wasn't allowed to move. I saw her in the delivery room after she was cleaned though and she's beautiful - looks JUST like her mommy (oddly enough at 2 minutes old)

Kaylie Louise 7lbs, 5 oz, 20.5" long :) I'll get pic up soon!

My sis is doing great. She's up and walking. She says it's not as bad as she thought it would be afterwards. Here's baby Kaylie!

More pics to come hopefully tonight.

My sister just called me. They moved her into a shared room :irked: and she can't have the baby in there with her :urgh: The baby nursed at about 7:30 this morning... but she's still in the monitored unit (similar to ICU). She says Kaylee is doing fantastic though. I can't wait to go see her tonight - I might get lucky and get to HOLD HER!!!! :whoohoo:

I went and saw Kaylie last night!!!!!!!!!! I took 84 pictures then my battery died or I may have another 80 to sift through :whoohoo: She's a beautiful kid I'm still in disbelief. She's still in baby ICU :( she went in last night at midnight for a spinal tap to find any infections she may have. She's having a hard time holding her temperature, so they're trying to figure out why.

Mommy might be going home today for some much needed rest, and baby will probably stay till Saturday or Sunday.

I'll post pics in a few. I took high resolution pics of Kaylie, so I have to downsize them before I can post them.

how is the baby doing???????

NICU is scary, Broc spent 95 days there back in 1989, he was born at 29 weeks and had to have his esophagus repaired

hoping she's going to be fine, and just remember those NICU nurses are taking great care of her

Kaylie went home on Saturday!!!! :whoohoo: She's doing a lot better. She's eating like crazy! I am going to see her today with my mom... hopefully I'll get more pics  I saw her on Friday night, got to hold her but didn't get pics. She's such a doll :)

Also, there was a baby in the same room as Kaylie that was over 30 weeks early - how does that happen!!! The hospital was quite certain she'd pull through as well. (I say 'over' 30 weeks early because that's as much as I could pry from the nurse after my sister told me it was 30 weeks, the nurse said that she couldn't tell me exactly due to patient privacy rules, but she assured me it's over 30 weeks early). CRAZY! She was sooo tiny :(

That's great! I'll have to add you as a friend to see the pictures, unless you host them somewhere else. :) I'm so glad she is doing well, any updates?

30 weeks early? How old was the baby? 7 or 8 weeks old? How does a baby that old even survive outside the womb?

I put more pics on my myspace and I *think* I put some on my facebook.

I don't know how a child that early survives.... It was weird. Matt could could see through her skin and see her heart beating. I didn't get close enough to look I was too engrossed in Kaylie
