So this is my first at starting a wedding Journal. Things are getting a bit overwhelming and I think it's time to write somethings down and hope they make sense on paper. I think looking at the big picture will help calm me.

We sorta have a budget, but it seems everytime we attempt to pay off one thing, I find something else to add to our "wow" factor. Poor FH.. I think i'm driving him nuts!

So, this month is going to be a bit crazy.. with 6 months until the big day, we're trying to wrap up the booking of all our vendors. We have to meet with the caterer (which we did last week), the cake vendor, the photographer, the florist and not to mention I'm taking my girls to go pick out their dress and order it. Hopefully all goes smoothly.

I have 6 months to get rid of some of this baby weight that i'm still holding onto. Seeing how my dress is a haulter top ... my arms are of most importance! So i'm starting the tone up this week! *fingers crossed*

Well, that's all for now. I'll fill in more as this month goes on.

Tomorrow we're picking out our cake. I'm so excited!!!! As long as everything stays on schedule.. we'll have our DJ paid in full and our wedding misc items ordered and on their way (ie. wedding party flutes, guest book, etc..)

I keep telling myself to take everything one day at a time..but it's so hard knowing that it's only 6 months away!!! EEK!

Tomorrow I'll report our cake choices!!!! Hugs!

So, the cake testing went really well! (over looking the fact that i was a 1/2 hr late!..oops! :ooh: lol)

Anyways.. we decided on a 3 tier vanilla and chocolate cake with Rasberry filling and a buttercream frosting. mmmmmmm.. it was soooo tasty!

Delivery and set up was included and we also got a gift card that is good for the purchase of a FREE Anniversary Cake...so we dont' have to worry about saving the top tier because they give us one on our Anniversary!

K..now for the best part... Wanna know the final cost?.............$99! Yep.. everything above for that wonderful price! I couldn't believe it! I'm so happy that's paid off and taken care of. They'll work with the caterer to arrange a set up time, so i dont' have to worry about that.

Yesterday we met with the musician for the church ceremony and we/I picked out our songs for the different parts. I'm so happy with our choices. I'll be walking down to Shania Twain's "from this moment". And instead of the organ, the musician is using an accustic guitar.. she has such a lovely voice..it sounded just great!

Tonite me and FH are going to pay off the DJ.. I booked the limo this afternoon and placed an order for our personalized items for the reception last nite. So, all in all.. everything is pulling together!

Officially under the 6 month mark today! yay!

this week is gonna be so busy..Thursday is the meeting with the photographer..friday is the final dress fitting before placing the order for my bridesmaids and Saturday we're meeting with the florist. I cant' believe it's all pulling together so nicely!

Updates to follow!....:o

That is an incredible deal for a cake. I got three tiers, just chocolate with cappucino icing and it was $215. That is also really neat that they throw in the anniversary cake, I have some reservations about eating cake that has been in my freezer for a year.
