I just found out today that I passed my LPN Boards! I'm officially a nurse! I can start looking for a job now! :cheers:Even better I heard that a nursing home I really really want to work at has an opening for a part time LPN! :ura1:
It's like it was meant to be. :bbeek:

Congratulations! My mother is a nurse. It has been a very rewarding career for her. You shouldn't have much trouble finding work.

Thank you ladies! I got my nursing card in the mail with my license number on it today! They also sent a little diploma saying I could practice as an LPN in the state of Iowa. I was so thrilled! I'm still working on finding a job though.

:drunk:Congrats on passing your boards.. that is so awsome. But from my understading they are suppose to depleat all LPN positions by 2011. I hope thats not true for your case. I know they depleated all LPN classed here in Wisconsin because of that. There have been notices sent letting LPN's know they have to continue thier education and become eather MA's Or RN's...
Sorry to be the bad news carrier. But congrats... I truely am very excited for you

2010 can't come soon enough for me....I'm tired, stressed and just want "RN" next to my name.....but I'm sure you know the feeling!!:)

Yes, I'm working on my RN right now. As long as I pass my classes I will graduate in December. Then I get to take boards all over again in January or February. I can't wait to just be done! No more school for me for awhile after I finish my RN. I want to have babies :o!
