View Full Version : I got a 95%!!!
I took the state exam yesterday for Office Technician - basically one of the lower positions available right now. BUT, it's an open position in the Employment Development Department here in CA - and that's one of the few places where jobs are secure. SO... I'm anxious to see what happens!
I got instant results from my test - a 95% out of 90 questions. WOOHOO!!! :whoohoo:

That is awesome Justina! Didn't you do really well on the last round of tests you took too? Sounds like you should be a shoo-in for one of those good state jobs! Congrats!

Wow, that's awesome, congrats!! That's an amazing score! :whoohoo:
Thank you all... I didn't mean to sound like I'm bragging - I'm just uber excited. I think with my score I may have gotten close to the top of the list for hiring.
However, the position I tested for is a pay cut from where I'm at now - but at least it's getting my foot in the door with state. RETIREMENT BAYBEE! (I guess I can retire when I'm 50 and get full medical for the rest of my life!) We'll see where our state is at in 27 years LOL.

It's worth it!!!
The ONLY draw back to being a state employee (well, in Massachusetts) is that you better make sure your job is NEEDED...LOL...cause with this round of budget cuts state employees that are considered "pork" / non essential are being cut....
I completely agree - that is why I'm only going for specific positions. CA is trying to lay off 20,000 employees right now!
Woah, so proud of you! I can't remember the last time I got a 95% on anything! :D
