Today i went to the Petrol (Gas) Station to fill the car up.

Now bear in mind in the UK You have to be 17 Years Old to drive a Car.

While i was paying i decided to get a packet of Cigarettes. For which You need to be 18 Years Old to buy. (It's just gone up from 16)

The guy behind the counter asked Me for I.D because He said i wasn't old enough. :bbeek:

I laughed at Him and asked Him how old He was. He replied He was 20. So i laughed even louder and told Him i was old enough to be His MOTHER!!!!

I then shoved My Driving Licence under His nose and grabbed the Cigarettes when He was checking My Date Of Birth.

I've been told i look younger than 40. But even then i'm still "In My 30's"

I walked back to the Car still laughing.

I've got a pair of Jeans older than Him.

Hey he just wanted to pay you a complement. Heck I'd love for someone to say I didn't look 50. Oh who am I kidding I'd pay someone to tell me I don't look like 50.

If only it was a complement. He wouldn't let Me have them until i showed Him My Driving Licence. :bbeek:

He was deadly serious. Bloody Jobsworth.

Well he's paying you a compliment! :)

I get ID'd for everything. I'm 30 and people think I'm under 18. When FH brought me home to meet his parents they were worried that I wasn't even of age yet. I'm 7 years older than him! LOL I try to take the ID'ing as a compliment but it gets annoying especially when I forget my ID and I'm more than old enough to have an alcoholic drink if I want!

I would have laughed too, but in a way taken it as a complement.

That's very funny. It's a compliment, I suppose, if he was dead serious :) Even if he wasn't.

That is funny :) When I was younger (around 15 or so) I worked at a small grocery store, and a few weeks prior I had got caught in a cig. sting. Where the cops sent in a girl that was like a month shy 18 and looked 26 into the store to see if the store would card her. Well I was busy and she looked in her 20's so I didn't card her. I ended up getting fined and such. (I think it is dumb that they send in people who they know look over 25)

Anyways a few weeks later someone told me that they were doing stings again. This guy came in and he had to have been over 35 but I carded him anyways haha. I made him go back out to his car to get his ID. hehe he wasn't angry just laughed. But it was $50 the first fine and it would be have been $100 for the second and I probably would have lost my job. Not to mention $50 is a lot to a 15 year old!
