So after a lengthy relationship and a somewhat brief (since may) official engagement, I FINALLY have a date...

my sister was kind enough to call the church for me (she works as a teacher for their religious ed program) and get May 15, 2010 at 2:30 penciled in for me. All i have to do is call in at some point this week and it'll be written in pen :bbeek:

I told my FH last night and he gave me his traditional "whatever works best for your school schedule" answer...

it's funny b/c it's finally real to me!

i have no idea where the reception will be but at this point it could be in the church parking lot for all i care :innocent:

Oh hey, that's my FH's birthday. It appears that lots of good things happen/ will happen on that date. :)

Congrats!

I am going to meet with my Pastor this week, and also the reception venue and a lot of my vendors. I think it will all seem real then. this is crazy! I'm getting married!!! :)

it's kind of funny b/c i honestly thought that it would NEVER happen LOL after all this time.... it's still crazy to me.

it's funny b/c just the other day we were having lunch w/his friends and they asked when the big day was and he's like uhh idk maybe this coming summer... but we'll have to see... hahaha

congratulations on setting your date. I remember how good it felt to get it in stone. Good luck with all the upcoming planning and I can't wait to hear more about your plans.

Yay, congratson setting your date! I'm so glad you hubby wasn't being a divo about the date. Mine insisted on getting married in autumn (he's English, and that's the traditional time to get married there), and it messed with my school schedule!

well he initially wanted to do late feb/early march b/c of his schedule but after discussion recognized that I wouldn't enjoy it as much as I'd be getting married over the weekend and back in class on Monday LOL and god forbid i have an assignment due or something!
