Tomorrow Justin and I are going to a wedding. We do not even know the bride and groom which is weird to me, but the bride is his secretary's daughter and she asked us to come. It is okay because the cool thing is they are getting married at the same place we are, they are just having their wedding outside and our's is going to be inside.

Here the kicker, it has been around 100 degrees here lately and the wedding is outside! We are all going to melt! So that got me thinking about what I was going to wear. Usually I have my own personal rule that I wear dresses to all weddings. However, I was thinking due to the fact we are going to be sweltering that I might could wear some nice dress capris. They are brown and look just like dress slackes, but of course shorter. Then I have a sleeveless blouse that is nice to go with it. I would also wear dress sandals. Do you think that would be okay?

I think it sounds summery and lovely. I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing that. I know that I wouldn't mind if you wore that to our wedding.

I don't have anything like that and I'm not going out to buy something today.

I guess I wouldn't go out to buy anything either. I guess since it is hell on earth there right now and you don't really know the people anyways, you should wear what you are comfortable in. Also, you shoudl make sur ethat what ever you wear is similiar to FH. You don't want him to be all formal and in a suit or something, if your attire is less formal!!!

I can understand Angel's point, but I guess I just don't care if all the ladies wear dresses or not.

I say hit up Ross, if there is one near you. They always have dressy summer dresses.

Justin will not be in a suit. He is going to loose about 10 lbs. from sweating that day. He is so hot natured. I'm sure he'll wear jeans and a nice short sleeved shirt and his straw cowboy hat.

Heather, the only Ross is 45 minutes away and actually between Justin and I right now we have about $20 in our checking accounts. And I'm not getting into our savings to buy a dress for a wedding.

Yeah, I can understand not spending any money right now. I would just find a nice something in the closet.

I think what you want to wear will be fine as long as it is casual afternoon wedding.

I think the rule is Afternoon wedding less formal, evening wedding break out the black tie and formal gowns. At least that's what I've been told and my inlaws all changed from their summery clothes to their evening wear for our reception. I had never seen that before! lol. Anyhow, wear what you want, I think that if you were to wear a nice broach you can dress your outfit up that much more but even if you don't, I'm sure you'll look nice and fit right in! :)

I think capris and a nice shirt will be really nice for the wedding. If you are really worried about it being to casual ask the MOB how formal the event will be. :D have fun!

I don't think it is going to be that formal. They are pretty simple people from what I know of them. I am going to wear it and hopefully it'll be okay. It's not like I'm going to know anyone anyway. We really are just going to go to the wedding and then stay only a little while at the reception.

I was just thinking that a pair of heels can always dress up capris too! So you could add a nice pair of heels instead of sandals and have a little more formal if you chose to do so! :) Heels and capris aren't a fashion no no as far as I've seen in the people mags lately!

I was thinking that as well. I have a brown pair of dress shoes. I always wear them with jeans and they look really cute. They are those pointy toe kind. The only thing I worry about is it rained today and it might tomorrow morning as well. I don't want to sink in the ground! I'll probably wear them and hope I don't sink!

Actually he'll be so hot he'll probably not want anyone, including me, to touch him. He might burst into flames!!!! LOl!
