I thought it woule be neat to create a thread on things you would recommend to others to try. Or if you are looking for a recommendation you can post it here. Since we are all consumers i thought who better to ask for help from then your peers.
Anyways, I highly recommend La Roche-Posay, Posthelios After-Sun Repair Cream. I got a really bad sun burn last summer and the aloe vera wasn't cutting it. The creepy crawly feeling was making me crazy! This stuff was recommended by the pharmasist and it is truely a dream!
I am wondering, does anyone have any ideas on a dishwasher detergent that won't leave a scummy film on my Ziploc containers?

My brother uses the new dish washing detergent that comes sealed up in tiny bags and all you do is pop them in the washer w/ the plastic film still on it. (Sorry, don't know what it's called) and he says it works wonders. Maybe someone else knows the name of it!

I use regular Cascade for the dishwasher. I have never had a problem with it.

I would like to reccommend Aura jeans. They are made by Wrangler (but they are not cowgirl jeans). They don't have the Wrangler patch on them. They fit like a glove and they are under $30. The good thing about them too is that you wear several sizes smaller than you normally would. I love to say that I wear a size 4!

Jenn, Palmolive has a detergent in a purple bottle that has vinegar in it and I love it!!! Apparently everyone else does too, because the stores are out of it all the time!
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are awsome if you have kids. All the little hand prints on the walls and the handle of your frig thats so hard to get clean, these little babies will do it! And they clean crayon off the walls in a snap!

I love my swivel sweeper. It is awesome. I don't know if it does everything the commercials day it does but I am extremely happy with it. And it's only 40 bucks!!

Jenn I use powder soap in my dishwasher. I usually just buy the store brand or electrosol. I don't really notice a difference between the store brand and name brand. Just an idea......does your water get hot enough? Maybe some jet dry would help too. I know it does on glass, not sure about plastic.
Hmm I found this.....I might try that.
Every two months, run the unit with a quart of white vinegar added to the tank (no dishes or detergent for this!). This removes any deposits left behind in the tub, and actually helps keep the drain clear! Do this mainly on units with plastic tubs, since they are porous, and will absorb not only grease, but residue from the detergent.
I'm gonna just post the link I found cause it says something about gel soap that I didn't know.

If you have black marks on your floors (wood, tile, linoleum) a tennis ball with a hole cut in it and popped on top of your broom removes them in a flash!
Eric wears boots and my dress shoes scuff the floors up in my kitchen so I do that!

For scuffed candles, use an old pair of panyhose to rub them out. It actually does work.

Another candle tip, if you live where it snows, keep a few pillars or tapers in your emergency kit. It you are cought in a snow storm, and can't start your car again, light the candle in your car, and put it somewhere that it won't get bumped. The heat in the car will keep the same for the life of the candle. Did that make sense??

I used to hold Candle parties at my house, I learned a few things.
Also, if you have wax that won't come off a candl holder, put the holder in the freezer for a bit, the wax will then come right off.
Also, again (and this will be the last one). If you have a pillar candle that begins to pour out the egde, hug (or cup) the edges w your hands. This will make it burn down from the top more.
