When I first joined this forum, I never started a journal of my wedding. Well now, with 4 months and 14 days until my wedding I decided that I had time while sitting at work.
From the Beginning:
Eric(FH) and I met in April of 2005, he was at my friends (his college roommate) house playing Madden 05. I went over to hang out with "the Guys". A few days later, me and "The Guys" went out to dinner and to the City Museum. Eric joined us, he was the perfect gentleman and we were not even on a date. He opened doors, pulled out chairs, paid my way, etc. I had never experienced this from any guy I had ever met. A few days later, I asked my friend (his college roommate) for Eric's number. I had every intention of calling him and asking him to help me with my Trigonometry, he was an Accounting Major. We have been dating for 4 years on May 16th.
The Proposal:
We had just gotten back from our 4th of July camping trip, we went to my parents house to pick up some clothes so that I could stay at his parents house that evening. While I was down stairs talking to my little sister, Eric was upstairs asking my parents for my hand in marriage, I had absolutely no idea. We drove back to his parents house in seperate cars. I was driving behind him, he pulled into a church parking lot and was looking at my tires. When I got out of the car, he was on one knee and holding the ring in his hand. He asked me to marry him. I was shocked and excited at the same time.
Setting the date:
After several potential dates we finally decided on June 20th, 2009. We decided to have an early morning ceremony at 10:30am at his grandmothers church, we are then going to have a brunch.
We had first decided on a winery themed wedding, but with 5 months to go, the winery that we had placed a deposit on, called and said that they would be closing on January 31st and would not be able to hold our reception. After checking with other venues, I think I have decided to use a place called The Falls.
