Well, its official. Steve got a letter today from the company he worked for. Yeah, notice i said 'worked'. They told him that its not a permanent layoff. :ooh: Not that i didn't see this coming.. But it still really sucks!!!!
So um, yeah. Hopefully we'll still be looking at houses in a year. :( Life seems against this idea, however... I'm cool as long as we can still afford our apartment. >.<

OH hun. I am sorry for you both (and yes, it does suck!). I hope that he will be called back soon so that you can continue your house hunt.

Just another perspective (speaking from someone who spent eons in apartments!) .... I believe that someone is watching out for you; making sure that you don't rush in at a time when you won't be able to swing it. The house that was meant for you is still out there and when you do get it, it's going to feel so great. Every bit of sacrifice and trouble you have both had will be worth it. :)

I'm so sorry. Hope he'll get back soon or find a better job. Hang in there - things get better when we least expect them to.

Things are rough out there for lots of people, but I am sure it will all work out in the end.

No need to rush into a house, you will get there when the time is right :)

All the best to you guys :flower:

I hate hearing about so many people going through these layoffs. I'm glad that you can still afford the apartment though. I'm hoping for all of the best for you guys. Trust that you will be where you need to be, when you need to be.

So sorry to hear that! Apartment-living isn't so bad... well, sometimes it is... hopefully there's a better job just around the bend!

Thanks guys. Yeah, the paper he got in the mall pretty much said theres no chance hes going to get called back. But he applied for TSA so.. Hopefully they'll call him before our unemployment runs out. Of course hes applying elsewhere, but thats most likely to call back (its Government).
Of course.. I thought he applied for that before.. But it was baggage handler for Northwest. Haha. Needless to say, he filled out the app that night. >.<

Thanks. I know they are starting to bring jobs back into Michigan. Hopefully they won't all be college degree jobs like before. >.<

I am sorry to hear that. Maybe it just means that he is meant to find something better. I truly believe everything happened for a reason. Hang in there!

Oh.. And if you guys don't see me as much.. My computer is starting to hate me, too. lol. So um. Its randomly freezing. Joy! Haha, thought i'd give a warning.

Still haven't found anything out about Kroger, either. The 'rumor' was in our observer this week, too, so my grandma found out. >.< I didn't want her to find out a worry, dang it. Still hoping for that remodel.

::Huggles::

Well, i have some GOOD news! :D First off.. They are doing very small remodels on our store. Only for like the yogurt racks and stuff.. But.. ITS A REMODEL. :D So that leaves us safe for at least a few years! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Oh.. And i found out what was making my computer explode. As weird as its going to sound... It was AIM! Don't ask me how this works, i have no idea!! Haha. But we deleted it all and downloaded Pidgin, and everything is peachy now. o.o;

Thanks! Yeah, i was mostly freaked that we would both have to go on unemployment at once.. Would be scary as heck! But that hump is over. :D Now we just have to focus on Steve getting a job while we put money into our house fund so we can hopefully start looking after he gets a job..

...Ok, i lied. My co-worker just informed me through her son (who i talk to online) that they have halted the remodel. Its up in the air and can go either way again. Ugh. Can i bury my head in the sand now?
