His ex, by all accounts, is a reasonable, nice, easy to get along with gal. They broke up amicably, it was more of a drift apart then a break up. My ex continued to write me love letters as I dated FH, wrote my parents letters, and then sent a really nasty email, claiming he'd been keeping tabs on me through my "friends" and that "he's going to get back at me". He's four years my senior and sent this email two and a half years after breaking up.

We were both smitten from the word go, but it took us a while to admit it. It was about a year and half after that first time we hung out together that we finally got really serious. Later he told me six months earlier he was ready to commit to the rest of his life with me, but I hadn't even guessed.
