Oh cr@p Ellen, all the music that comes to my mind you probably wouldn't want to play around the older generation! lol. I'll have to think about what's in my 100+ Cds and let you know!! :) Right now, my brain is still on sleep mode! lol

From the stuff Ive been hearing, it would probably be better to stay with the females singers like Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson, etc. The male singers have mostly seemed to have taken their music to walking a thin line towards pornography. Now I do like some of the songs, but I wouldnt want my grandmother to hear them!

As a member of the 20something crowd I can give you the list of songs that we played when the band was taking a break. We went with these because they are easier on the older crowd's ears but most younger people still know them. The first half is what we played during dinner while the second half is what we played for dancing. But a lot are interchangeable.

Now...my nephew is going to ask his girlfriend to marry him later on that night after the initial glory over me and Eric is over (he asked both of us for permission and I think it's a wonderful idea) he bought her a platinum ring and is looking for the perfect song..
He likes Darren Hayes So Beautiful. Any other suggestions...Jason is 23 and is a gearhead...he's all into cars, customization, has several tattoos and piercings and is one of those sexy dark mysterious guys with the bandannas and dark glasses...and of course he asks his country aunt to help him and tells me NO COUNTRY...geesh!

Have you ever heard the song by Don Henley called "for this i pray on my wedding day"? we played it right before the ceremony and not many people had heard it and they all loved it. just a thought i thought to pass on. It really is a beautiful song. the pastor fell in love with it.

I'm not too much into the new music. I listed to mostly 70-80's rock. Sorry I can't help you more. I am playing more of the stuff that most people will recognize even if they don't listen to that type of music.

I'm not going to have alot of non-country music, but one song I have to have is Hey Ya-by Outkast. I love that song and it is fun to dance to. It reminds me of one great night when Justin and I were at this bar/grill type place for some reason. I remember it played and it was the first time I heard it and we had so much fun that particular night.
