You are the mother I received
The day I wed your son.
And I just want to thank you, Mum
For all the things you've done.
You've given me a gracious man
With whom I share my life.
You are his loving mother and
I his lucky wife.
You used to pat his little head,
And now I hold his hand.
You raised in love a little boy
And gave to me a man.

That is a really nice poem. I think your idea of giving it to your MIL is really nice. :)

I am having it framed...I put my "cowboy" touches to it and it was PERFECT...how very coincidental...I found it yesterday (had been looking for a while)!
I also have this as inserts into the programs...
When our daughter
was a little girl
we often used to say
how proud and happy
we would be
on her wedding day
Our daughter
is not lost to us
actually we've gained a son
We're happy
you can share our joy
and see them joined as one
So may we
welcome all of you
and may this whole day be
a happy and a joyous one
for friends and family

I got our moms MOB and MOG hankies....they have little horseshoes with two hearts dangling from them and have our names and the date embroidered.
The groomsmen all got engraved pocket knives and the ringbearers (2) got engraved yo-yo's, the bridesmaid get canvas monogrammed purses stuffed with Bath & Body goodies. Still have to find flower girl goodies for her mini purse

I dont know if this was the EXACT poem, but its pretty close, but on my honeymoon, there was a poem on real pretty paper in a picture frame that was titled "Poem to His Mother". I wanted to get it for my MiL as a thank you gift for all that she had done helping with the wedding. It was $50.:bbeek: I decided that I would find a poem and make one myself for what maybe $5? I hadnt be able to find what i was looking for.....so Thanks!!!!
