For those of you doing favors - how many favors did you have and roughly how much did you spend in total per guest?
Maybe this would be better as a couple of polls but I'm not sure how to those.
Reason for my question is that we know that we want to do matchbooks with golf tees in them for sure but they are only $0.82 each + shipping and it just doesn't seem like a whole lot.

I think the quality of the favor matters way more than how much they costed...
We are doing 3 things - personalized playing cards (they were about $4 each or so with the personalization I think?), mardi gras beads (cheap, cheap, cheap) and chocolates covered to look like poker chips (pretty cheap, bought in bulk). I think even if we didn't have the playing cards we would have been fine and the total for each person's favors would have been around 2 bucks.
I think if you're happy with the matchbooks/golf tees then your guests will be too. They'll never know how much they cost...!

We were also thinking of doing personalized golf balls - they run about $11/dozen and we need about 17-18 dozen.
But if we decide to go with the golf ball centerpieces we also have to buy golf balls for those. FH suggested we buy personalized golf balls for them since people are likely to take them anyways but we would need at least 20 dozen balls. The plain balls we were going to get for the centerpieces we can get for as cheap as $2.99 per dozen. So I guess we are just a little torn with what to do.

I'm doing personalized coffee packets. I love them. I think they are expensive though....its 14.99 per 12 of them. I wanted something a little different and most of my guests enjoy coffee, and it makes a whole pot. here is what mine look like...

All I'm doing is personalized labels on mini hershey bars. One per each guest.

I got 33 favors, and spent about $8.00 on each. It adds up fast, though!

Mine were pretty cheap, about $.60 each. People had no idea, though. The quality is what matters, IMO.

Our wedding favors will be a spoon full of kisses. I have estimated it to be 58.00 for 100 people. Very cost efficient and we only have a small budget so that works for us. If you want the match books then go for it. It's your wedding and all people really care about is sharing your big day with you. I know when ive been to a wedding i never cared about the favors(ive only been to 2), but to me weddings are about a celebration not what can i get by going. Im sure most people are like this as well. So do as you wish, it's your day.

Well right now we have boughten plain plastic bags. Then at the last wedding show we went to a vendor that makes stamps was there and showing how they od stamps for weddings, etc. So we were thinking of getting a stamp with our initials and stamping the bags....the stamp itself is only $12 + an ink pad.
We thought we might use that for napkins too - I wasn't going to do personalized napkins just because I thought its kind of a waste of money but if I can do it myself then thats better.
