I just got two "flower balls" as the seller called them for $13 including shipping from ebay! I considered making them myself, but I don't think I could beat this price! Plus it's one less thing I have to do. They have a bunch of colors. Just search flower ball.

Wow! That's a great price!
Will you let us know what you think of the flower balls when they come in?? Or take a "real" picture of them?? I did not think of e-bay for these and now I'm going to do so... but I was wanting them with a "tighter" look ~ maybe smaller roses?? I would be curious to see yours ~ great price! :o

So cute - I'm glad it worked out for you.
There are some cute ones on kijiji here but they still want $90 for 4 of them and I just don't know if I want to spend that much.

I bought some just like that in ivory from Hobby Lobby when they were having a half off bridal sale. I think they were 12.99 to begin with, so you might check there.

There are several ladies here who made their own. I don't know what their total costs were but I believe they bought the flowers when Michaels, etc were having 50% off sales on their floral stuff.

I priced it out as $20-$30 to make a big one with yellow roses.

Another great ebay store for these I'd suggest is Balsa Circle. I hope the link works: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/eWedding__W0QQ_armrsZ1
I gave this a go several times, myself. As to the price of making them, I got eighty some roses for a good enough deal at a discount site, I think it was $15. The styrofoam balls aren't much, a few dollars each. So not too bad. It's not overly hard to put them together either, it just got terribly frustrating.
I was trying to make them for my BMs to carry you see. I started with a 6" ball, added flowers, it was way too big. So I went and got a 4" ball, the only smaller size they had at Michael's here. Well they are far too small, go figure. So I ordered a handful of 5" balls offline. Wouldn't you know it -still- too big. So the perfect size is probably between 4" - 5" but I wasn't about to keep ordering the special sizes online, I have enough styrofoam balls sitting around already now haha.
I changed my mind altogether and got orchids :bblol:
Hey Chatterbox ~ I haven't been on here for a while cuz I've been so busy but wanted to tell you your pomanders look great! You got a really good deal! I saved that link in my E-bay favs!

I figured it out with my pomander I made was under 10 bucks to make. But this one is huge.. measures 12 inches across. Took 6 1/2 dz roses to make.

And here is the half pomanders I made. 3 1/2 dozen roses. at $0.75 for a dz.
I think I it came to little over 6 bucks to make..if that! Here I stood them up in my chair. They will lay flush against the pew. with tulle running behind them from pew to pew.
