My caterer will not provide ice or ice storage for my June (country western themed) wedding. I am looking for creative ways to keep ice cubes from melting for 6 hours, in a barn. The ice is to be used in the drinks. I don't want have 10 coolers hanging around. Suggetions are highly appreciated!!! Thanx in advance!

Can you rent a freezer? Or just buy one of those mini ones that stand 4 feet high.
I know its not funny.. Maybe you can tell the ice cream truck to pull in back and turn off his music.. lol Then take ice out as needed.. j/k Sorry.. I was just trying to think of anything possible.. even the impossible.. :winktongue:

The only thing I can think of is making big bowls out of ice if you need a cute way to display it, but I think coolers may be your best bet. Maybe you could get some in your wedding colors and decorate them with your names and the date and pictures that go with your theme?

LOL...the ice cream truck sure is creative. But I don't think that will work. I was trying to think if I knew anyone that I could barrow a freezer from, but I dont know anyone :( but thanks anyhow!

We will have this same issue (outside at our house - we're supplying the drinks. I'm thinking a freezer is a good way to go. I'm looking on craigslist and freecycle for one.
