I am walking down to Dan Seals: One Friend I chose this because I didn't want the traditional wedding march, and we are planning a western theme. Can I have ya'lls out put on it?
Thanks º°ỮţâђMọmmŷ°º

I love the non-traditional music so much more!! Great choice!

I have mentioned this before- but I walked down the isle to Etta James At Last- it was meaningful to me, and my groom. I probably would have gone traditional if it was a church wedding, but we were married in a garden. Follow your heart, as long as the officiate knows when to signal everyone to stand.

We both had our music custom made. If you go to joyousproductions.com they have really good deals on custom made wedding music. The songs come on a neat cd which sounds like movie scores.

I think it's an amazing choice, but not because of the song, but because YOU like the song. You are the author of this wedding and I wish more couples do what you are doing.... choosing songs, etc. based on what you like, not what others think. Good job and good luck!

I am walking down the aisle to the song"Somewhere over the Rainbow/What A Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. Its a beautiful song, has a very Hawaiian feel to it, I think. And it works perfect for me, because I'm not into having the tradtional wedding, with all the hooplah. I wanted a song that I thought said "here comes 'CanadianBride' " not "here comes THE bride". The words to the song mean something to me and I think thats what counts!

My sister-in-law and her wedding party (including myself) walked down the aisle to "Cullen Anderson" by The Rogues. It was one of the COOLEST processional songs I've ever heard.

I am still working on it, but I'm pretty sure my bridal party and I will be walking down the aisle to "Ada Plays" and "Ada and Inman" from the Cold Mountain Soundtrack (if we need both for the time).

My problem comes into recessional music. I hate that "bong bong be bong bong" **** they usually play at weddings...no offense to anyone. It makes me feel more like a soldier than a bride. At least I think it will make me feel like it. I'm not a very traditional person...heck, my mother will be giving me away and I want to get married in my bare feet (is that bad? My mother thinks it's abhorrent).

Recessional music should be celebratory- anything that says "Yah! We are now married and so happy" works.

As for barefoot- it depends on the wedding and the setting. If you are having a formal church wedding- than I agree with your mother. If you are having a less formal wedding- perhaps our doors- barefoot can be a lovely touch. I would also take into account your dress- if it is very fitted you should wear a shoe to match.

The wedding is out doors...and while it is a formal dress, I think it is either, (a) long enough to where no one will notice, or (b) an interesting juxtaposition.

Anyone actually get married in their barefeet? It'd be nice to hear about your dress and setting...

We are having a western wedding and having cowboy take me away as the song to walk back down from. He will be singing i cross my heart at the wedding and im thinking from this moment will be the one we walk down the isle to.

My girls might be goign bearfoot if they want. It is up to them. My cousin got married in her bearfeet. Sorry not sure what she wore. I wasn't there. She lives a few hours away and I had just had my daughter.

As for the music I am not sure yet. I wanted my uncle to play the bag pipes for me to walk down the aisle to. ( I kow, the rainbow theme, the western theme, and now bagpipes lol ) But not sure if he will be able to. So I have to think of a backup. Not sure what to do though.
