I'm in the process of doing up our house. And was wondering what Colours others have in their homes. (I'm nosy like that LOL)
Our home is mainly Peach, Cream and Beige. Dictated by the fact We have Beige Carpet throughout except in the Kitchen which has Beige Floor Tiles.
The Kitchen is wallpapered on two walls. In a cream paper with small wedgewood blue squares here and there. The other two walls are painted cream. Was just a quick tidy up costing £1 for the paper. I plan on redoing the walls in a vibrant terracotta. We had that in the house before last and i loved it.
The Lounge is plastered (DH is a Plasterer by trade) and it's painted soft stone. We have two bronze coloured leather sofas and beige drapes. One of these days it will get finished as the skirting boards are still in undercoat. :whyme:
The Hallway, Stairs and Landing is papered with some hidious woodchip paper. We couldn't afford to strip it off and plaster the walls. So just before the Wedding i painted it with left over paint from the Lounge. This is another job We plan for this year.
The Bathroom and Toilet are both wallpapered in different papers. If this was our house i would knock the wall down between the two and redecorate. Both rooms are Peach which i can live with. One wall above the bath has white tiles wall to wall and to the ceiling. I want to see the landlord about tiling the floors in both rooms because i can't stand carpet in Bathrooms.
The Master Bedroom is wallpapered in Lilac. I want to either paint over it. Or re-paper the main wall behind the bed. Then plaster and paint the other walls. One wall is completely covered in Mirrors now because DH fitted wardrobe doors.
The Spare Bedroom is naked. :bbeek: I stripped the walls about a year ago and still haven't decided what to do in there. DH wants to skim the walls but He never seems to find the time to do it. So i might cheat and just paint the walls as they are. Then put some artwork over the "rough" bits. :winktongue:

Most of our place is white, black and gray. We have a slate fireplace that has sort of brown tones in it, but the matle is black.
When we get around to remodeling the guest bathroom we plan to do it in brown/rust tones. Right now it is half @ss painted white over ugly wallpaper.
Our bedroom walls are painted teal (was like that when we moved in) which I hate; we will repaint the room light gray with white trim at some point.
The kitchen is blue; I hate it also and it is on the remodel list.
The outside of the house is dark brown cedar; not my choice, but not much we can do there.

We painted a pale gold throughout the living room, dining room, office and hallways. We picked the colour becaue it is the same as a fleck/vein in the fireplace stone. It was a teal colour when we moved in.

The guest room is a pale yellow (it is actually lighter than the hallways, living room etc.). It was beige and dark blue when we moved in.

The bathroom is white tile throughout with grey accents. We haven't done anything to this room but we would like to do away with the smoky mirrors and put a stone/faux brick wall up there.

Our kitchen is white with black accents until we can decide what we want to do in there. We need another coat of white on the walls in here. It was dark blue + one wall had dark blue plaid wallpaper when we moved in.

Our bedroom is beige but it will eventually be a pale/Wedgwood green (the paint chip is on the wall).

The basement is "cottagy" .... It will probably stay like this for some time but I do need to cover up the holes in the wall and areas where wall paper are coming off with photos and stuff.

I have no idea what we can/will do with the retro bathroom down there ....

Here's some pics that show colors in my house. These are almost a year old, so some things have changed, but not too much.
First picture is of part of the basement the day after we moved in....nothing was set up yet!

Sure! but just so that you know ... the whirlpool isn't working. We haven't investigated to see what the problem is yet because you just know that it's going to cost $$$ to fix it LOL
I love that colour green. It's so peaceful.
I am leaning towards blue accents for our bathroom. I figured it would go with the white tiles & grey accents????
Opinions needed .... I had a wild thought to do a trompe l'oeil sky on our bathroom ceiling, around the skylight. What do you ladies think?

When we bought the house, it was painted ALL over (and I do mean all -- walls, doors, ceilings, EVERYWHERE) with this horrible browny-lavender-yellowish pucey color that make the whole house seem sad and uninviting. Since Fiance refused to live in the house until it got painted, that was the first thing we did :)
The kitchen is now a lovely warm and welcoming mocha brown with warm white trim. And purple/dark lavender sheer curtains, hung because somehow the mocha and the lavender compliment each other -- who knew?
The living room's walls are green -- but the bottom 1/3rd is a dark black/green hunter green color, and the top 2/3rds is a light green that's almost sage except for the yellow undertones, which make the green a lot brighter than sage. The cove ceiling is now white, because the primer looked so nice!
The guest bedroom is a lovely neutral blue. Darker than teal (and a lot cooler too . . . it's a blue with a lot of grey in it, as opposed to red or yellow), not so dark as navy, about the same saturation as royal blue but not as bright. The mahogany colored trim and furniture makes the room look lovely, and it's gender neutral! LOL! Most guests say that the colors are soothing. The bed covers are grey, taupe and grey-blue, and the curtains (if I ever get them up) are a nice rich taupe.
The library was robin's egg blue (gross) so we primed it with white and then painted it a rich chestnut/oxblood color. We painted the trim the same warm white as the kitchen trim. Eventually we're going to find ju8st the right curtains for the library, but for now there are no hangings on the windows at all.
Our one single bathroom doesn't have a color scheme at all, at the moment. It used to be Little House On The Prairie, but we've since stripped the grass wallpaper to reveal plain white underneath. We're slowly replacing the ancient brass with chrome, and the plan is to replace the yellow/brown linoleum with a soft white linoleum, to match the ceramic white handles and so on. Ideally I'd like it to be soft white with chrome and wooden accents, so, very neutral.
The bedroom and the office are both paneled in wood. The bedroom is real wood (knotty pine!) the office, not so much. But it's the office, so who cares? The bedroom is going to stay that way, though we're eventually going to put nice deep cream-colored carpet in there, instead of the crappy grey stuff that's in there now.

I'm renting so nothing is the color I want it. Living room is grey, bedrooms are white and bathroom is completely pink! I could paint but why bother when we are currently looking to build or possibly buy a house within the next year or so.
But when we do have our own house. I want my living room to be neutral colors...maybe brown (not too dark though).
I want my bathroom to be an aqua or turquoise color w/ brown.
Bedroom...not sure...green or some sort of blue/aqua.
Kitchen...probably more neutrals since we hope to have the kitchen & living room opened up.
