Or are you walking up the aisle to a certain type of music? I am trying to figure out what to walk up the aisle to. I thought I wanted something classical but then I watched a movie and heard a song I really liked. I went out and bought the soundtrack to that movie, but the song wasn't on there. I checked the movie's website and couldn't find the information I was looking for. I was just wondering if there is a certain song that anyone is walking up the aisle to? I am having a outdoor wedding, so I was thinking something soft and sweet... but then I just really want to know where I can find this song.... Anyhow, ideas  or suggestions anyone? Thanks.

I am using a song called "True" by Ryan Cabrera.
It gives me chills every time I hear that song. I really wanted something uncommon to use and nothing that is just instrumental.

I was married for the second time at 31 and before I meet my sweetie people were beginning to think I would never marry again. I walked down the isle to At Last by Etta James. It was perfect for us. About a week after the wedding I met my husband in a restaurant and as I walked in that song started playing. He grabbed me and kissed me in front of everyone.

I found the song I was looking for. It is "Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. But please, feel free to let us know what the rest of you all are walking up the aisle to. Thanks,

My 1st wedding I had the traditional organ music, paid $100 just to have the guy there to play it on that day. I had my uncle playing the bag pipes outside as guest were coming in. I am thining of asking him to play them again as I walk down the aisle before and after the ceromony. Seeing I am planning on an outside wedding next June it is a possibilty. I think this would be a very nice touch. I will let ya know what I decide on.

I'll be using the instrumental music from Cold Mountain. I love piano music and this has a beautiful beat. Plus, the DVD is one of the first things my fiance ever bought for me.

My fiance actually wanted us to walk back up the aisle after the ceremony to the Notre Dame fight song. I swear that school is a cult! We compromised and I think we going with "Beautiful Day" by U2. As for the processional and during the ceremony, I am working on it. I know we are having a string quartet so almost anything will go. I'll keep you all posted. By the way after the fight song idea my fiance was banned from any and all future wedding planning activities.

Now that sounds like a typical fiance. My fiance declared he wanted to walk down the aisle in cowboy boots...we exnayed that idea really quickly...

I am walking down the aisle to - " The Lord's Wedding Song ". I'm not sure if I will choose the instrumental version though. Both versions are simply beautiful.

Norah jones would be really nice... the couple in the movie American Wedding did, and you hear her in pretty much any romantic movie.

Pachelbel's Canon in D is a great classical song as an alternative to the overdone organ wedding march

I'm walking down the aisle to Freddie Jackson's "You Are My Love".

I have been planning my wedding since high school and this has always been the song that I wanted to walk in on.

I even know at exactly what part in the song I want to take my first step to!

'Air' is a favorite. But, if you're into Anime at all, and have seen The End Of Evangelion, you see a beloved character get slaughtered to this song. It's really strange.

I also love the song 'Mother Nature's Son' by the Beatles. It might see if we could get someone to play it with simply two classical acoustic guitars. We thought of doing the Tool song Parabol/Parabola, but with strings, but that would be pretty expensive.

Off the subjet of music here but.....

I saw some one post that her man wanted to wear cowboy boots. Nicholas is going to. He is from WV and he is also going to have the cowboy hat. He is total redneck and I am soooo yanky. Born and raised in Maine. He may be living here in NH with me now but he will always be my redneck. I can't wait to see him in his hat and boots and tux. My son is going to be the Jr. Groom and is going to have the hat and boots as well. He will be almost 5 when we get married. I can't wait to see him.

Nicholas says that we are proof that the North and South can come together lol. Yup he's my redneck. I love him so much.
