So DH and I are having our first dinner party as a married couple....
I have no idea what to serve!
It's nothing formal.... in fact... I'm going to give away how truly geeky we are here.... it's a Lost premiere party! We always make dinner and have a nice meal about an hour before it starts.... before I've made lasagna... pork roast ("Wild Boar" for those of you that watch the show lol) I'm from the south, but my kind of cooking isn't for everyone (gumbo, jambalaya, fricassee other cajun and creole fare) I want to make something that everyone pretty much eats...but I am at a total loss..... any ideas?

I think you should serve Lost food .... ie follow a theme. Oh and make everyone eat without utensils! Make a faux palm tree centerpiece.
Do a little research to see what meals they have shown eaten on the show (besides wild boar) and serve that :) Fish sticks? LOL

I totally don't eat rabbit but I googled Lost food and this line popped up which cracked me up...
Ben looks at the rabbit meat: "This didn't have a number on it, did it?"
Ok, see, I'm a dork.

haha ok so... DH already did the labels! lol We normally have Dharma labels on a few things lol (we actually had jars of that salmalela tainted penut butter on the table w a dharma label a few years ago and had no idea... thank God no one opened it!) yeah.... we are dorks.... lol I was going to add some pictures but I forgot they are on my other computer.... we even had fish biscuits! lol maybe I will try to do tropical stuff.... the no utensil thing is actually kinda funny! lol
I know I am going to cover the table in tarp (such a classy party haha) and have the dharma stuff... we have all the music they play on the show and dh Actually has a program that runs the whole 180 min command from the hatch
You are not going to believe this.... but I actually had rabbit in my freezer.... no... I don't eat it lol my daddy was a hunter and when he passed I just brought everything from his freezer and put it in mine until my brother could get it from me... I was going through it all and found rabbit.... yuck lol I gave it to a friend that apparently loves it.... maybe if I were stranded on an island.... but thumper isn't on my food list lol

Your kind of cooking would be welcome where I am ANYTIME :)
Do you know for certain that your guests wouldn't like that type of food? There really isn't anything that everyone eats, because people all have their preferences. In my experience, lasagna and pasta are generally good bets, chicken wings (but I live in Buffalo), pulled pork, hamburgers (but I don't actually like them!), pan fried fish... but if I were you, I'd just make them some jambalaya because that is really, really tasty :D
