Ok so our first choice for reception hall is $500 solid...and its not climate controlled. So I looked a little bit today and where we had my baby shower at is actually decently priced...Its at a bowling alley, but has own entrance and everything, but at max 150 people...which isn't bad. And its 360 up front but you get 100 back week afterwards and in the remaining 260 that includes the bartender for the night as well. Also for only 50, tax and gratutity we get unlimited soda all night!! And then I found a church that my mom goes to nearby for under 150. So I'm thinking that this is actually cheaper than using the first hall...this way no one will freeze or die of heat like at the other place!!! I'm hoping FH will think this is way we should go too....

Unlimited soda is an awesome deal! It's the little things like that that add up fast. Not to mention that September can be unpredictable. I think you're doing the right thing by going with a place that is climate controlled. Hopefully you fiance will see your line of thinking!

so we've talked and (grrr) still looking. the only thing is that they comfortably seat 125. 150 people is max, our guest list is already at 150. So we aren't sure thankfully we have the next 2 days off together to look and make calls...although i'm going to look at the unlimited soda thing with other venues!!!! worth a shot right

Don't worry! You'll find the perfect venue! There were several times that I thought for sure we had found our venue, but fiance was unhappy with it for some reason or another. Now I'm glad he told me no! We found our perfect dream venue. It's just how I always pictured it! Remember everything happens for a reason!
