Well i printed out invites today....
They were just plain white with the swirls. Not intended to have holes punched and ribbon pulled through, but I got the idea from when I did my baby shower invites. The first One i printed was in black ink because I forgot to turn color back on, but the other 49 invites are teal ink. heres what they look like... the swirls are embosses with a pearl finish.
do they look ok... We are on such a tight budget! Invites cost me maybe 15 with a coupon from AC Moore. Ribbon spools were 4 dollars each... But i bought them a while ago so i dont count that.

this is the black ink one, so i just used teal ribbon....

Very cute! I love swirls! :-) Good job on being frugal and creative!

(P.S. Is the top of your dress lined in black? I can't quite tell from your avatar photo shown...I had black on my wedding dress and the girls at the dress shop thought I was NUTS to want black on my white gown (gasp!) I didn't let their apparent disapproval deter me...and loved my black & white dress.)

I think they are beautiful !! Were they hard to do because I bought a kit and worked out the wording, but I haven't printed them out yet?

OMG not at all! I do work with computers and graphics though. Like that stamp on the bottom is a brush i downloaded and exported from photoshop.

But its pretty much making sure your settings with your printer are correct . VERY easy!
