Okay, major problem. I ordered my wedding dress last week. I'm the bride, but what I ordered was a bridesmaid dress in ivory. The shop called on Friday to tell me the dress was in. Well I have been thinking about this all weekend, and I can't help thinking that I hate this dress.

So I am wondering....do you think I can get my money back? I paid in full. It's a bridesmaid dress and I ordered it in the model colors, ivory and sage. They didn't even have to make it because they had some "in stock".

I need someone to calm me down. Do you think for a 'restocking fee' I can return it?

My wedding is April 4th, so time is of the essence here.

Thanks in advance. I've been freaking out all weekend and finally told my fiance tonight why I've been in a weird depressed mood all weekend.

Most shops don't allow you to return a dress, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Check your contract and/or receipt to see if it says anything about the return policy. Before you return it I'd actually try it on. You might not hate it on you.

Oh, I've tried it on. I just showed my fiance the pictures and he agrees, it looks like ****.

The thing is, I let the person working at the store convince me I looked better in ivory than in white. I shouldn't have done that. Now I'm really hating it because it looks dingy.

I looked over my contract, but honestly I don't really understand it. I will call tomorrow for sure. Worse comes to worse, I can always resell it on ebay, even if it's for less than I paid. I would rather do that than get married in a dress that I hate.

So do you not like the dress itself or just not the ivory? Do you want it in white, is that the thing?
If you want to type out the language in the contract I can probably decode it for you! :)
Sorry you're unhappy - that's not good! Hopefully it'll work out and you will be in a dress you are happy with. :)
