As I posted in my journal, today I put in an offer on a wedding dress on ebay, and....

They took it. So, for $275, I bought a wedding dress originally priced at $747, never tried on, new with tags. It is my size, and the color and general style that I was looking for. I'm happy, but shocked. I didn't expect to find a dress so far out from the wedding. If worse comes to worse, I feel that I can get at least what I paid for it if not a little more. But, enough talk. Here are some pictures off of the e-bay listing so you all can tell me what you think:

Thank you all for your kind words! I love that the word "elegant" specifically keeps coming up, because it is exactly what I was looking for in a dress! You all have really reassured me, since I worry myself to death when I even have the tiniest doubt about anything! Here are the dresses by Maggie Sottero that I had my eye on... I think the one I bought is a pretty close match! And, I think I will have it altered to have a lace-up back closure when I get all of my alterations done, so it will be even closer to what I had imagined.

Oooh, I like! The detachable straps are an especially nice touch, I think! Then again, I'm partial to dresses with straps and/or sleeves.

Eeee I got the dress today! I tried it on, but I don't have a good mirror to take pictures in or anybody to take pictures of me :bbeek: But I promise I will post some pics ASAP!

I love it for the most part :) As I said before, I will have the back with the buttons altered to a lace-up. It will also need to be bustled for the reception, and I think the hips need to be let out a bit because it hugs my bootay too much (or maybe I need to hit the gym a little more) :bbredface: Looks promising though! But, we'll have to see... one of my BM's was sad that we didn't go try on a whole bunch of dresses, so I promised her that we would go see what there was. If I find one that I LOOOVE and just gotta have, then I will sell this one.
