I feel a little silly posting this since there is another aisle runner topic right below this but I didn't want to take their topic. I don't know if my runner is done yet or not, we had planned to do stencil up the sides but I am not sure if I have the patience. The monogram is done though. It took me a lot longer than I thought it would but that may of been because I bought weird sized paint brushes and painted the 'H' in that liquid leaf paint which was a pain and made me lightheaded. But here it is so far. The little squiggles were added to cover up some places were the paint splashed and I had to outline the 'H' in another paint because the liquid leaf caused a pink ring around it.

So it usually helps when I actually attach the photo.

Nice job! I spent MANY hours on mine...like almost 20 if I recall because I did a monogram and a long quote that had graphics on the side. I wanted to do a border on mine too but did not have the patience to sew or paint one on. We pinned this long black ribbon on each side and it looked AMAZING...until people started to walk on it and it pulled up. :-( Luckily, I really wanted it for photos so we layed it out after rehearsal and realized that the ribbon was not going to stay put for the big day. I got the photographers to get the photos and then we took the ribbon off. :-( I was sad, but I guess no one really knew it was supposed to be lined in ribbon but me. We used clear tape to keep the edges down for the day of. At the end of the day it was ok, but I LOVED the photos with the ribbon edges.

It is a bolt of muslin actually. I had to hem the top and bottom, actually have only done one end so far because I want to go measure our hall before I cut it. All the fabric was only $15 so it seemed like a good deal. I might stick on some weights or some type of nonslip material (it is going over wall to wall carpet) but I am not sure yet.
