Ok so I have kind of a quirky dress style...my fiance always says "You never match your clothes, but somehow you make it so cute!" My wedding colors are chocolate brown, dusty rose, ivory, and a little orange (mostly for accents here and there)...so I found these shoes (http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/shoes/heels/PRDOVR%7E10672/10672.jsp), any thoughts?
I mean really you're only gunna see the toes, and I'm not a big fan of my toes I would rather they be covered, but how cute are these shoes? They unique but not totally bizzare.

OMG - I love those. I almost went against my "Gwen doesn't wear heels" mantra and bought them for myself! :)

Hotness! I say go for it! You know, you could totally rock some cute stockings to hide your toes, like these:
Click on the ivory option! So cute!

I don't think that matters if you can afford them! Besides, by looking at the cost of these shoes, obviously you got a deal on a dress!
I got my dress for $200 on eBay because it's a discontinued sample. Meanwhile, FH's suit was over $400! So his attire cost twice as much as mine! :bbeek: But, I think it actually makes more sense that way because he'll wear his suit forever and I'll never realistically wear this dress again.

A little OT, but I haven't seen pictures of your dress yet! :bbeek: Have you posted any yet? I'd love to see...

I actually haven't, my finace isn't allowed to see the dress until I walk down the aisle...and my laptop is misbehaving right now...so it's on time out. I'm working on getting fixed and once I have I will get some pictures up. But I don't want to put pictures on his laptop and have him accidentally find them...

But the shoes, probably unlike the dress, you could wear again! :)

True story...but I'm the kind of person that would love to have the money to buy $250 shoes, but even if I had the moneys may not get them...I guess I define "frugal"

The shoes are cute but I hate spending loads of money on shoes so personally unless I found them discounted I probably wouldn't buy them.
But if you love them and have the money I say go for it.

J crew just put them out. I mean its from their newest catalog...I may try and wait to see if I can get them next season discounted! The wedding isn't for a year and a half, so I have a little time...
I really glad I'm not the only one that find cow print shoes aren't inappropriate on your wedding day.

No way - it's your wedding - anything goes!
I hear you about spending money on frivolous things - I can't justify spending money on things like that either...but once in a while a splurge (especially for something of the caliber of your wedding) can be fun and worth it. :)
J Crew does massively discount things a lot - there's a big chance you can get them down the road for half off if you keep your eyes on it!

I think those are adorable. I'm all for unique shoes hidden under your wedding gown. Since you have so long until your wedding, I think you have a pretty good chance of watching for them to be discounted.

If You find them cheaper at a later date then go for it! :) When You get things for a bargain then it's more fun IMO.
I, like others here can't justify spending a fortune on certain things. That's probably why My Wedding Dress only cost £20 (Approx $30) when DH's Tie was twice the price on it's own. :bbeek:
In the UK loads of things have Cow Print on. From Shoes to Tea-Towels. Which is great for Me because people call Me "Mitchy-Moo" because of My Surname. And Our Grandson calls Me "Nanny-Moo". I have Cow Print on loads of things.
I think they're so cute!! You could totally rock 'em on your day if you decide to splurge.

Holy expensive shoes, batman! ...ooo but they are preeeeetty, i'll give you that. And I work in a bridal shop, so I get bored really easily with the same ol same ol bridal look. Can you believe that some brides are so afraid of something different, that they wont have their white shoes dyed to match their ivory dress? I've worked there 3 years, plus one summer internship, and I can count on one hand the number of brides I've seen actually branch out and wear fun colored shoes.
I am a bit of a shoe addict myself, and I love an opportunity to shop vicariously through others, so let me see if i can find something with a similar vibe that is more budget-friendly. Perhaps one of these?...

You could try searching for those shoes on ebay... I found a JCrew dress that I loved brand new with tags on ebay for a little more than half the regular price. It's worth a shot...
I really like them!
Good luck!

Great Ideas! Ya my mom keeps trying to get me to wear white/dyeable shoes, and I refuse! I wore pink converse all stars to my prom, with a pink satin "cinderella" dress. I mean it's my party and I'll do what I want to! And if I wanna wear outrageous, sassy, sexy loud shoes why not? I know it's not the norm, but I've never been one for that!

That sounds so cute! I didn't know they had pink all-stars! Do you have any pics that show the shoes?
I remember my dad giving me a hard time because I bought silver shoes to wear with my wedding dress! But metallic shoes are my favorite... I had silver sneakers throughout most of high school (they were Skechers), silver slippers, gold sandals... White ones just weren't doing it for me.
Wear what you want! You only get married once (or twice, if you're into the whole vow renewal thing, which I'm not)!

I don't think I have any pictures of my prom...thinking about it now that seems odd!
You can now get all stars in any style you want on their website, but back then it was quite the search to find them. It was like 10 years ago. It wasn't all that long ago, but they still hadn't become popular.

Go you :) I think cow spots are awesome! And I'm so glad that they went on sale and that you can save money -- I think that will make you feel better in the long run too, because you can look at yourself and say, no, I did NOT spend almost $300 on these shoes!
