I bought silk roses from efavormart.com for my kissing balls. IMO, they look great, and the price was really decent!

HI LCZ,
I bought mine from walmart. On sale for 75 cents a bunch/dozen.
I made my pew flowers with them
They also have real feel flowers at hobby lobby. They have 50% sales all the time.

I want to do these for my wedding and was curious as to how many bunches of flowers you need and what size balls are used? TIA

I bought 6" balls and used about 100 flowers on each ball. BUT I used some that were open and some that were closed, so if you use all open flowers, you could probably get away with like 60-70 per ball. And I had them really packed together (I like that look better).

If your talking about pomanders. It depends on the size of Styrofoam ball that you get. I know with my first one. I went to big. I used a 5 round ball. Looked to be the size of a grapefruit. But then it took 6 1/2 dozen roses to cover it.

You could buy smaller balls and that would take less flowers to fill. For the most part this was one of the easiest DIY prodject I have done. The hardest being my invitations. I have one last DIY and thats the monogram aisle runner. Hopefully its not hard to do. :)

Thanks to all of the beautiful pictures I have seen of others with their kissing balls, I went tonight got the stuff to attempt and make one myself. You are right, it was really easy but it turned out a lot bigger than I wanted so I am going to get a 3" ball instead of a 5" one and see how that works. Boy did that boost my confidence in my diying ablilities and now I am ready to do my invites. I have them worded and just need to print them. I am going to do those this Friday when I am off of school. Thank you guys for your great ideas and pictures!!
