I have heard that blood test can be wrong sometimes; here is more on the subject - http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/bloodtestwrong.html

So your "pee test after pee test" comes back positive?

I would ask for another blood test and probably call your regular Dr and see if there is something else that might be causing your symptoms too. Stress can make you late and even miss periods.

And I have heard of some cases where women wanted to get pregnant so bad that they had all the symptoms, but weren't actually pregnant.

Nope a blood test usually seals the deal....Or so said my OBGYN....

Hope you get your period soon :)

nope pee test comes out negative as well.

We actually stopped trying because we decided to do more traveling and us time before having a baby.

well guess I got to head back to the doctors.

I would think if the pee tests and blood test come back negative then you are probably not pregnant. So if you have had no period since November then something else may be going on.

All the best!

A friend of mine was told that the test can be wrong if it's really close to time of conception (on the verge of being late but not exactly late yet) but by this point, I doubt your tests are wrong. Hope everything works out!

If this has been going on a while a blood test would tell all by now. When you are pregnant your hcg levels, what is tested for in pee and blood tests, double every 48 hours or so for the first few weeks and still increase signficatly till I think around 12 weeks?? So if you were pregnant the blood test would be positive unless it is only a few days after conception, but I remember you saying a while ago you were sick and thought you might be pregnant.

One thing, if you are not having your periods for some reason you are not ovulating. In most people most of the time ovulation causes your period not the other way around. Maybe try a different obgyn and get a second opinion on what could be wrong.

Ask your doctor for an ultrasound. You'll be able to view your uterus and that can give you either closure or confirmation of your suspicions.

I agree. This is definitely a concrete answer.....either a fetus or no fetus! Good luck!

I was thinking about this thread last night. I was wondering - are you gaining or losing weight?

I would make sure there is nothing else going wrong....obviously you are not pregnant, but could it be something else?!?!? Have you gone to the Dr.????

I just remembered this:

My friend had all the pregnancy symptoms (morning sickness, tested positive, no period) and the doctor even said she was pregnant. Come to find out, she psyched herself into being pregnant and what they thought was a baby ended up being a little sack (sorta like a placenta) and she had to have surgery to have it removed. It wasn't a baby, but between her birth control and her mind, she created something that psyched her body into thinking it was a baby. Nothing drastic - not trying to scare you.

I am convinced my doctors dont know anything. Ive gotten 2nd and 3rd opinions and nothing!

I dont have excessive appetite I actually loss my appetite from being sick and throwing up. I dont crave food but dislike certain foods like potato's for some reason I dont like it anymore.

My boss thinks I got some kind of virus.

What do the dr. think is wrong. Obviously something is making you sick. Your sickness may or may not having anything to do with your missing your period. The dr. should be trying to find out why you are throwing up all the time, they might not even be concernd about your period unless you are ttc. Like someone else mentioned your mind can make your body think it is pregnant. Crazy I know but its possible.

You can ask for an ultrasound, they may tell you no since your blood test came back negative but if they agree you can see for youself if anything is in there.

Are you tired all the time, i think with pregnancy that is probably the only other symtom you would more than likely have where all the other ones are hit or miss depending on the person.

The mind is a very powerful thing.
Also there are 148 reasons why you can have cessation of your menses as listed on this site. http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/symptoms/amenorrhea/causes.htm

well for the first 2 months it was a sinus infection. I had it got some antibiotics for 7 days and it went away for a week then it came back. They gave me some more antibiotics for 2 weeks.

Then I was ok for another 2 weeks and then I caught a cold. Then some kind of virus, possible a stomach virus - which was what was making me throw up.

Then the doctor said because I keep getting sick could cause me stress or taking all these medicines could cause me to miss my period.

I feel better now and for the past few days so hopefully this month my period should come back to normal.

Keep pushing!

I had a similar situation a few months back. Finally m I got ahold of a doctor that took my concerns seriously. She ordered tons of blood work everything from my kidneys, cholesterol, checking for poly cystic ovaries, tons of stuff.

Everything came back normal. Ok they found my insulin was high so that's being taken care of now.
I have an appointment with an OB for an ultra sound to see what else could be going on.

There are many things besides pregnancy that could make you feel this way. Have you had your thyroid checked? It might be worth looking into!

You may need to have your thyroid checked. I had an underactive thyroid when I was younger, but right before I got pregnant with my son I started having crazy symptoms with no explanation. I felt like I constantly had the flu, no appetite, lost about 60 pounds in a few months, and had no menstrual cycle. I had Graves Disease, which is basically an extremely overactive thyroid. I would def. ask for your thyroid levels to be checked.
