The spam that spammed no more!

The last couple days we have been getting nailed by spammers from all over the place so I put together something.

If a person joins the site they can not post images or links to the site if they have not made a reputation in the community. IE stuck around for a while!

If they try to add a link or image to a post they will get this error when they submit.

"You are only allowed to post Images or URLs to other sites after you have become a trusted member of the community!"

This should end all problems we have with spammers on the forums!

I was logging into the forums this morning to check everything out before I went on with my day and noticed a new user called 'mortgage_loan_s123q1'. Bet that spammer got a nice surprise when they attempted to post. LOL

Lol...I've noticed a lot of new and interesting named members! Cindy and I were laughing between the two of us the other day at a new one that came on board. I won't repeat the name because it was really bad, but we were really shocked and got a good laugh! I just think its a good thing that that guy couldn't post his link...hee hee!! I've been noticing more and more Viagra names too!! HA HA! Oh well, L3vi stopped them from posting their links THANKFULLY!! lol

Ya know I used to wonder why some ppl would bother to spam a wedding board with those type things :bbconfused: ... but I figure they are just hoping to get thier link up on a popular site as it helps search engine rankings. I get alot of this type of spam on a couple of boards I run. I am going to take l3vi's idea and make it so they can't post links either ;)
