Rockstar theme!

I need help with a theme for my wedding....I want to do a rock feel...But I don't wanna go overboard..I'm leaning a dark autumn/champagne color. I want to a some coldplay songs but I just don't know how to decorate...Any ideas?

We had the Members of one of the UK's best Tribute Bands at Our Wedding. The Rhythm Guitarist and His Wife were Our Witnesses and the rest of the Band attended.

With the Reception at Home We ended up having a Jamming Session in the Garden.

Well, I'm getting married in march, yes I KNOW thats like really soon. But I haven't done anything really....I'm going for a small formal wedding, me and my fiance go to concerts alot, I play guitar and we both LOVE music so much. Music sorta brought us together in a way. We thought it would be a good idea to have a hard rock feel to our wedding. So I was thinking guitar picks for favors with our names on them, perhaps a electric guitar for wedding march? I haven't got my dress, I REALLY like the wedding dress that was on the girl from the November rain video by guns n roses...All in alll I want a formal look, but I want a rock n all feel! I say go with it but planning a wedding for 2 months time will be rough, especially to get a dress if you haven't gotten one yet.

The guitar pics idea is cool - someone else had previously been thinking about it I believe. Just be sure you can find a supplier that can supply them to you in the time that you need.

I think the idea overall is cool and can't wait to see pictures with what you decide.

Have a wedding cake designed in the shape of a Les Paul guitar.

Include in your invitation an "admit one" ticket - like it's a ticket to a killer show. For your programs for the ceremony print them like a show poster - and list yourselves as the headlining act.

I just looked for dresses similar to the November Rain dress for you and they seem pretty hard to come by.

But, maybe you could find a dress you like quickly and have a seamstress alter it to look like it? With 2 months to go, that may be tricky though.

Then when We got back home where the Reception was held. The first song played was "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)" by AC/DC.

Then We all got merry. (HIC) lol.

You talked about personalized guitar picks, which I think is an awesome idea, it was the first thing I thought of when you asked for ideas. In case you need a place to get picks from, Pickworld (http://www.pickworld.com/color_pricing.htm) will personalize them for you with just about anything you want.

You could even turn a pick into a neat necklace for bridesmaids, yourself, or anyone else who needs a snazzy piece of jewlery. Or sew one onto your garter for a fun touch.

Glitter also comes to mind, but then again, Im a David Bowie, Boy George, Elton John sort of rocker... lol. But if it were me, I might give flowers or makeup or hair a brush of glitter.

You could incorporate records in your decor somehow. Those always give me a rock vibe.

This dress is cute! It has blue crinoline sticking out the bottom. It is by Julius bridal and I have heard that you can get any dress pretty much customized by them. I don't personally know anyone who has ordered from them but maybe a few brides on here have?? It is hard to find a short dress with a train like the NR one. I'll keep looking though. 0k ladies, sorry I haven't writen but I have been really busy with the planning! I ordered and received my guitar picks. I love them so much! Their white with black text "Tasha picked Jamie" on one side and "Jamie picked Tasha" on the other side, with a cross and 2wedding bands on the bottom corner, I'll post them up soon. I got my dress, I just gave up on the NR dress. It was too hard and I was kinda scared of the idea but. I got a Maggie Sottero, if you go to the website. My dress is called Victoriana!! The model is wearing ivory but I ordered it in white. Tell me what you think. I think it could definitely pass for a hard rockish theme...Like rock/victorian!

Also, I'm geting white columns for the ceremory, 4 8footers and some 3 and 2 footers with floral arrangments !!

I need help on bridesmaid dresses I went to all the local shops and I found nothing that suited me....I want a latte or dark champagne color....I really love the cream sashes to go along with the dress.. But I CANNOT find it anywhere cheap..I'm on a budget....I'm welling to give 70$ a piece. I found sites I could order from but they don't have my color...

My friend Amy is making my cake, but I still haven't found a design yet. She could do almost anything with cake and iciing, it's crazy.

I know I only have 27days left and I'm under stress!!!!

Hmm, alittle below the knee, halter or off shoulder, doesn't matter as long as it's not strapless like my dress. I want my bridesmaids to be totally opposite from me. Latte/dark champage with light cream/ivory sash/belt. Oh my gosh, do you guys know any great places to make your invitations? I know I haven't got that done, but me and my fiance have had a LOT aggravation!! Plus, it's gonna be a small/private wedding so, I'm not shipping out a lot of invites...

Sorry, yes, I'm gonna pay for them...All the stores around here want 70 to 80 dollars after all alterations plus deposit...I found some great dresses on here for 60dollars to buy! Plus, no alterations, you can get the size you need!!!! ALSO, I can resale them to some poor wait to the last minute bride like me and get some money back.

Wow - thats nice of you to pay for them as usually they pay for them themselves.

I'll be honest with you the quotes you are getting for $70-$80 with alterations is really awesome! My girls' dresses are $149.99 + tax and alterations.

Have you inquired about renting the dresses? Kay just was looking for cheap dresses too and came across a place in her city where she can rent them in any size for $40-$50 I believe.

I got mine from kijiji but they were originally ones I picked out at Michaels and I think they are quite nice!
