Just looking for a general opinion.
Whats everyones opinion on gloves?
Does the season matter? Dress style?

Typically gloves add a more formal feel and I believe generally worn in the fall and winter and/or evening weddings. But it is pretty much just another fashion thing these days.
I like them with the right dress; I have seen them with some styles that just didn't look right to me.

im so torn on the idea of gloves. i have been told to wear them with my dress b.c its formal, but not sure.. i think it does depend on the dress. i just dont like wrist gloves though at all.

I got gloves, but I ended up not wearing them because the ring kept getting in the way and making this weird lump on the ring finger. But I like the idea of the fingerless gloves/armband things, now that I'm looking at them.

I say NO!!!
No gloves ever...I don't like them..and I think it is awkward when it comes ring time...do you take the glove off, then where do you put it? Your MOH is already holding your flowers, or do you leave it on, but then the ring goes over the glove?!?!?
I say stay away from gloves!

They do make gloves with a little whole in the ring finger so you can slip that finger out for the ring thing. Or some people put the ring on over the glove if the gloves are tight fitting.
Or there is always the fingerless kind.
But yeah, they are not for everyone :)

That is an idea...a break away ring finger :)
Yup....everyone has their own taste! :)

Personally, I think gloves seem very dated...

Personally I think it depends on who you are and where you are in your life. I've always been a tomboy and for prom I really wanted to show I was girly, so I work opera length gloves...but I think now it's just not who I am. I'm still a tomboy, but I'm still girly but glove just aren't me.
It also depends on your dress and the overall feel you want for your wedding. I think longer gloves give it more of a formal feel, where wrist length gloves could be more garden party feel or an older feel like 50s ish.
