Wow I just watched the news and realised the date today is the 6th of the 6th o6 (666) Spooky :bbeek:. I don't know why I am posting this lol I guess I thought I would just let ya'll know.

Well my 666 day is over in 35mins so everything went fine here. I can't beleive people are haveing parties for it, that's just wierd!!

There will always be those people who do the opposite of what you think is right, that's just part of life. Go figure.... Oh, that's so sad about the ladies in labor!!! I'm glad you made it through safe and sound, Naomi!!!

Joe was talking to a customer last Friday who had a pregnant relative schedule to be induced on 6/2 because her due date was 6/6. It all sounds kind of silly to me.

I would like to be in Hell, MI to watch the bikers roll in - there was a news story that some bikers were going to hell today :p

They remade that movie and it comes out today! I don't think anything bad will really happen today. I wouldn't want to have a baby today, but all in all I think it's just another day like a Friday the 13th or something. There was a big hype about Y2K and nothing happened.

The new release of the movie is released overe here today too - tho we dont seem to have had any of the general hype about today that u seem to have over there - or if we have then i havent been aware of it lol - didnt even realise it was today until i read this thread and its already 15.45 over here!!

This is the way I see it...today is just a day like ANY other! Have your babies, go out and enjoy life! If you are meant to die today, you'd die today regardless of what the date is!! I think it would be cool to have a baby today!! Hell, you all know I'd think it'd be cool to have a baby ANY day! My niece (who is IN Germany) was born on Hitler's birthday, does that mean she's Hitler reincarnate??? Hell no!! It's just silliness, and religon's way of trying to make people scared and believe! I for one, will just treat it like any other day, and enjoy life to my fullest.

I've noticed something with the media... but to be honest more so in the states....when we were there for our honey moon the news was so different compared to Canadian news, it REALLY focused on the negative....they are ALWAYS trying to scare the sh*t out of the general population. how much of the news is ever good stuff?? Not very **** much!! I believe that the news should have to report something thats good for a change. I stopped watching the news because I got sick of hearing all the bad things because GOOD things STILL happen in this world and I think everyone needs to be reminded of that every now and again. (And if the media does report on something good, its usually not a whole lot on it!) But thats just my opinion. Micheal Moore touched on this subject in Fereinheit 9/11 I believe. I'm not saying I agree with him or anything but I am just saying he spoke of this and the media scaring the general population. lol...thats all I've got to say about that! lol

I think the reason the news pretty much only gives bad news is because they get more ratings from bad stuff. I guess most people just like to hear bad instead of good.

Well Brian and I got into a small arguement last night. He said it must have been because of what the day was. I told him that was BULL :censored: , because if we had had the exact same fight any other day, he would have said it was because I was being "difficult". He busted out laughing at that!!!!
What always gets me about full moons, Friday the 13th, etc, is that the "bad" things that happen to people on those days would have hardly even been noticed if they were to happen on any other day! But just because they happen on one of "those" days, everything gets totally blown out of proportion.

ANd Kacie, youre right. The news thrives on telling the world all the bad things that happen to everyone. Whether we really need to know or not!

I was figuring something weird was going to happen in the lab yesterday...nope nothing...not the whole day. Alex and I did go and see the remake of The Omen last night on opening night though. Alex said that he heard on the radio that someone in England gave birth to a baby yesterday at 6am and they named in Damien (like in the movie The Omen)....now why would you do that?

You can take just about any number and twist it around to mean something with the right idea or with a math formula.

I was planning to go see my friend in concert(not because of the date, he was just in town, and had not seen him for years), but got left behind by friends :censored: and did not feel like driving to DC. LOL

Just think next month you get 777, but that probably wont be in the news. LOL

yeah I think all the commotion about 06/06/06 is just silly ... it was just another day to me, nothing crazy happened. I didn't even think about it until I heard it on the radio. I did go to the movies, but not to see The Omen, I don't like scary movies on any day ;) Just the previews are spooky enough for me.

I did hear talk about it all over the news and some religious ppl I know talked about it too. Regardless of my personal religious beliefs regarding the "number of the beast", I don't think there is any significance here.

I heard about women scheduling c-sections the day before to avoid the day are just crazy IMO. It is just like Friday the 13th, Halloween or April Fools day :bbconfused: I read somewhere about how triple digits and the number 6 were good luck in come countries.

I read something somewhere once "Your mind creates your world" and "Negativity begets more negativity" See if you have it in your mind that something bad is going to happen, you will often find a way to make it happen. The same can be said for the opposite, so why not just try to be happy and positive more often?!

It is all just more crazy superstitions for ppl that have nothing better to do with their lives.

I agree with Brandi!! These bad things will only happen if you expect them to!! You get what you ask for kind of deal! I'm with you Brandi, it upsets me to think of the people who are trying to keep from having their babies on 06/06/06...thats just plain ridiculousness to me!! Save yourself and your baby harm and just have your baby!!! :(
