We did have alot of fun. And the DJ told Nicholas he had to take the garter off with his teeth. And he did. The whole way. He didnt touch it untill it was off completely. The DJ said he gave him alot of credit as most guys take it past the knee and then use their hands. Not my husband lol.

I tossed around so many ideas to be honest. At first I thought some cute cowboy boots but then decided no it didn't really fit with the formal wedding we ended up with. Then I thought running shoes with glitter and lace, but Matt hated the idea! I searched and I searched and when I finally found the ones I knew it!

In the pictures they kind of look gold. (must have been the flash.) but I had them dyed ivory. I've been thinking of dyeing them again so that I may wear them again...I just haven't decided what color to do them! ;)

I want it to be there and noticeable, but not gaudy or clashy. It's also hard finding rainbow wedding accessories. They're just not available...so I'm having to be creative and make some things on my own. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of it though :) It'll be totally worth the trouble when it all comes together!

I actually had a sixpence that I purchased online and then we couldn't find it on the wedding day! I was very disappointed. Hardly any of the traditions actually worked out. A bridesmaid ran and found a penny with my birth year on it though. That was sweet! We took that picture and then put it in the toe of my shoe. I forgot about it and didn't remember it was there until I took my shoes off that night. :D LOL

I will probably never wear them again, but I think they fit my dress perfectly. I'm also excited about the fact that they are only 2 1/8" heels. MAKE them cuter! Personalize them a bit - what are your wedding colors? Add some ribbon or pearls in your wedding colors... May even want to use Dr. Scholls inserts - the shoes are so flat footed that your feet most likely will hurt anyway. Unless you don't need arch support normally.
