The next round of post card exchange. (#3)

Well ladies, I've been promising this thread since yesterday so here it is. If you are interested in being in the third round of the post card exchange you will need to post here! And I will add your name to the list as I see them popping up. We have a few rules we'd like to add to the post card exchange, please don't get upset but everything needs rules and Gwen and I have spoken about this.

So here they are:
-You must post here to state that you do want to be included in exchange #3. Just because you were in the last exchange does not mean you will be in the next. Please let us know in this thread!! :)

-the 15th of June will be the last day to get into the exchange.

-We have decided that only Senior Members or members who have previously been in the exchange will be included in the exchange. This is for reasons of the fact that we don't necessarily really know the new people and some don't want their home addresses given out to just anyone. (I'm sure we can all understand that one! :wink: )

-We've decided to do a two week time limit on getting your postcards in the mail. Gwen will announce what day all post cards will need to be in the mail by when she sends out the names! But we think it will most likely be the 30th of June! So please if you're going to join the post card exchange, let's get those post cards ahead of time. :wink:

So I think thats it...oh and of course, if you're new to the exchange (and your a senior member ) you will need to PM Gwen your address.

You send a post card to that person. Most of us use one with pictures of the area we live in. Then once you send your post card and again once you recieve yours you leave a post in the threat that says it was sent/recieved. We keep our buddies for the round a secret until everyone has got their post cards.

We won't do the next round until everyone recieves theirs from this round. At that time, I or Gwen will make a thread announcing the next post card exchange along with the rules again. And a few we may add. at that time we will say "get your names into us by this time or you miss out" kind of thing. Then Gwen will arrange it and send out everyone's buddies to their PM box. then the rest is all up to you!! :)

I know some of us mailed them out at the beginning of the week, and their buddies got them already.

Then there were others who mailed them midweek and their buddies may have already gotten them or they will get them early next week.

Then there were others that mailed them at the end of last week, and those buddies won't get their cards until mid or late next week.

So, if you don't get your card by late next week, chances are your buddy didn't get it in the mail by Friday.

There was no way Amber & I weren't going to have our postcards in the mail by Friday.

Yes you are all right. The postcards were supposed to me mailed out by last Friday, June 30th. So those of you who did not get one yet I am sure it is on its way. Shawna and I are keeping track as to who has mailed them out and who has received them. We are on top of it. and we want to say thank you all for following the rules. I think these were needed and it seems all who joined understood. If you didnt we are sorry but as it stands we have reasons for needing them. Hold tight and I am sure all will have their postcards very soon.

For the next round, I bought a book of postcards, and all I have to do is tear one off when I get ready to use it. They are from Arizona Highway's magazine and they are beautiful! I will probably end up sharing those with Amber too. I also bought a book of postcard stamps that are .24 cents as opposed to .39 cents for a regular letter.

I'm going to be getting a cork board, or something like that, so that I can have the postcards on display once I receive a few more of them. I only have two postcards (one from this exchange round, and one from someone who sent me one just to be nice), and I love both of them. Thank you to both of the ladies who have sent me a postcard!!

Shawna, I actually think it was a mail problem...not a sender problem. Gwen had said my buddy sent me one when the issue first came up and I believe she sent me a second one too. The mailman just liked it so much he decided to keep it, I guess!

Shawna, I actually think it was a mail problem...not a sender problem. Gwen had said my buddy sent me one when the issue first came up and I believe she sent me a second one too. The mailman just liked it so much he decided to keep it, I guess!

Ha ha!! that's weird eh? I wonder if post men/women would really do that kind of thing? So strange! I hate the mail system! Things always get lost.

Well your post card buddy for this round contacted me today to tell me that she indeed posted it and that it is on it's way. And that she hopes it will get there soon!! :) She just asked me to reassure you that it will be there soon!! :wink:

I got my post card on Monday! YAY! Thank you SOOO much! It was really beautiful and yes, I've been there once...it was AMAZING! It is definitely one of the sights I'll drag my kids too once they're old enough! :) Thanks again!

It will cost us $0.55 cents to send a post card to Canada, $0.24 to US. I looked it up just in case I got someone from Canada.

I believe we may have lost one before. (Kelli's I believe) I'm not sure what we would do at that point. I also remember that Gwen also had a similar thing happen and a few of us got together and sent her a bunch of post cards to make it up to her.
