Yeah, we have only been to two movies in the theater so far in 2 years and 3 months. But he owes me a chick flick due to a bet we made, so when I saw the previews for this movie... it was perfect, haha.

A trailer for Bride Wars came on TV last night and FF told me that he is taking me to see it ON JANUARY 9th!! He said he 'owes' me a girly flick... and, after Ironman, The Hulk, Dark Night, etc... he SOOO owes me a good one!! YAY!!! I was soooo excited! I reminded him tonight! HA

Looks like a nice chick flick, but I hope the main characters aren't as horrible as they seem in the previews-trying to sabotage each other over a wedding venue. That doesn't help the "hysterical bridezilla" stereotype, ha. But I'm sure it'll be fine, and both actresses are good. They were even on the cover of Modern Bride, which I found unusual.

The thing is I WANTED to see those too! So they didn't count as guy movies. Beerfest though. THAT was a guy movie. :bbeek:

OMG - totally going to see it! FH and I went last weekend to see Four Christmases and that was in the previews. I laughed so hard. Even if I go by myself, I'm going. It looks great!

You know I am starting to think these guys really want to see it too but are using the IOU thing as an excuse because they don't want to admit it. My FH said the same things and HE asked me if I wanted to go see it tonight. I said I wanted to go tomorrow.

Haha, my fiance was sitting at the computer and he said, "What movie was it you wanted to see? Bride Wars?" He asked that as he was looking it up. Then he asked, "Are we really going to see it tomorrow?" in a whiny voice. Maybe he does secretly want to see it... haha. I caught him looking over from his computer screen when I was watching 27 Dresses.

My FF will watch "Say Yes To The Dress" and stuff like that with me ~ at his suggestion ~ from time-to-time. I think they are curious about all this "fluff" stuff. HA

We did not get to see Bride Wars. Tiny Town. One movie theatre. They were showing Brad Pitt's movie. No Bride Wars here. We would have had to drive at least 3 hours (more like 4) to see it. Hopefully, it will be down here eventually or on DVD soon.:(

My bridal party and I are going to try on their dresses this weekend and afterward were all (plus my mom) going to see it. It looks like a cute movie, and it'll be even better to have my bridal party and mom there.

i heard it wasnt wonderful but my moh and i will be going to see it next week anyway. she is moving here this week and its our first thing we have planned.. basically cuz we are best friends and (were) both brides (sad to report that she and her fiance have broken up)

We ended up not going on Saturday 'cause of other things coming up (we did go to Olive Garden though, mmmm). I've also heard that it's not that great, though I saw some people on another message board saying that it was good.

Soo... I don't know if I want to see it anymore. But my fiance does still owe me a chick flick... I'm kind of thinking about ordering both Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies from Netflix and saying I wanna watch those with him, haha. I haven't seen the second one.

FH took me to see it on the 9th. I was a little disappointed. I had REALLY high hopes. But I did like it, just didn't love it. I'll probably still buy it when it's released. I might have missed something in the theater. LOL

MOH and I watched it last week! It was sooooo good. I loved it.
The whole time were relating to the main characters..because it was SO US!

I grew up in a small town like that! We had two movie theaters that only showed one movie at a time for a month straight! :bbeek: I don't miss those days at all.

I hope Bride Wars comes to your town so you can both see it!

I actually liked the movie, though normally it wouldn't be my type of movie. The ending was kinda cool, an interesting twist. The movie was a bit ridiculous but definitely entertainment!
