I have to talk to my girls yet, but I don't like the dresses they chose. The dress is cute, but I'm just not in love with it and just not for my wedding. I hope that it doesn't sound bridezillaish!
Anyways, we didn't order them just yet because they have to be paid for in full before they order them. So, I hope that I can convince them to change their minds too!!

It is pretty....why not pick a brand that is a little less money too!
it is YOUR wedding, pick what you want!

I just love this dress! If I actually cared about what my bridesmaids wore, I'd probably pick something pretty and tea-length like that.
What don't you like about it? Do you want them to have longer skirts? Do the pickups bug you?
Either way, you're the bride and you can pick out their dresses for them, if you want!

It is a really cute dress! What did you have in mind?

If I was truely honest with myself from the very beginning, I never liked the thing. Here is my list:
1. I don't like the fabric, especially next time mine because their dress just looks stiff.
2. The one thing I hate in dresses, and I don't mean to offend anybody who does like this style, is the bunching on the bottom. Especially for a late summer wedding.
3. The color closest to what I want is pumpkin which is way too fallish for what I wanted too.
4. One of my girls is like 4'11" and the other is 5'6", so I don't know how they can possibly alter it to make it look the same.
5. This is a really stupid reason, but the girl in the picture looks like she is 12. My girls are 21 and 20, they don't need to look younger. I just keep picturing that girl and it really bothers me.
6. I just want something more elegant with beading.
This is my dress:

This is the dress I really love and more what I was thinking. The color would be more of a coral color versus orange, which is another aspect I love. They are going to try it on Sunday.

Honestly, if I had to choose, I'd prefer the second one too!

Thank you! Honestly, it makes me feel much better when I show people the two different dresses and they agree. It makes me feel like I'm not bridezilla or crazy!!

Thanks! :) With the skirt thing, I just feel that for a humid summer Wisconsin day, its too much. Plus like I said, I just don't like it, simple lol!

And it looks like # 2 is Chiffon, which I think would also keep the girls cooler - letting a breeze through if it is super warm!! I looked at a lot of Chiffon dresses, but I dont think they look good next to my dress so I am pretty sure I am going with satin for my girls. But if Sept. 09 is anything like 08 the temps should only be mid 70's! Not too bad!

See, and that is what I'm afraid of. My dress is satin too, so I don't know how its going to look.

Where they are trying on the "new" dresses.... is it where you ordered yours? I tired on my dress along with my girls just to see. Since mine is "Cafe" in color I wanted to make sure the BM dresses were the same color family.... that the browns werent too red or purple and what not.
Maybe just try your dress on along with them even if it's just any Chiffon dress. Just so you know how it will look!

It will be at the same place as mine, and so was the other dress. The two dresses look fine together before, I guess I'm just worried about the new one. But, I will just have to wait and see!

Weird - I totally liked the dress they picked until I saw the one you picked and then I was totally anti the first dress.
Sort of surprised myself with such a rapid change of opinion as I scrolled down the page! :)

Your choice is much better.
Tell them that you REALLY like that particular dress and how it matches yours.

I know what you are saying. I am normally one not to change my mind. The dress that they picked is pretty, but its just not what I was thinking for the wedding.

I agree with the second dress....our wedding is in Sept and we live on border of wisconsin so I really understand we'll be dying in our dresses but we want the girls comfy in theirs.....ugh it shouldn't be this hard!!!!

I also like the second one better. I think it has more of a classy elegant feel to it. Maybe it's the chiffon, but it's SOOO much prettier than the first one!
