I was just making some cookies to take to my parents house tonight; at first they didn't look done when the time went off so I put them back in and set the timer for another 3 minutes.

Well stupid me came in here to check my email and such and forgot about them; until I smelled them burning :whyme:

So I guess we are not bringing cookies ... I hope I don't screw up the turkey!!

Bless your heart I'm bad about that too, I finally got a little digital timer with a clip on it so I can set it for whatever and clip it to myself that way I"m sure of hearing it go off:)

Yeah, this is not the first time I have done this either :bbredface: DH tells me to set my alarm on my phone if I am not going to be in there watching out. So most of the time I do that.

But this time I figured since I am the only one up and it was pretty quiet in the house I would hear the timer; but I didn't.

Chad is always always telling me to set alarms when I'm baking, but I never do! So when I go running in the kitchen yelling cr@p, cr@p, cr@p!!! he just laughs and shakes his head. It's my one fault, give me a break! ;)

That happens to me too. I have even ran the sink over by being on the computer. My honey just shakes his head. He's rather gotten used to it!!

I am glad I am not the only one to do silly things like this ;)

When we made cookies yesterday we stayed in the kitchen and they all turned out good :)

I had put them in the fridge in a ziploc bag and went to get one out earlier and didn't close the bag all the way and half of them spilled out on the floor when I tried to put them back in the fridge *doh*

i'm bad about not getting back to the oven timer, so i have started setting it so that my oven will just cut off when the timer is done!

I made cookies to take to my family for christmas, but most of them got eaten beforehand!
