Ol' Nosey here, just curious about what you're going to eat for Christmas :)
On Christmas Eve, we're going to go to the in-laws for dinner and presents. They celebrate everything on the 24th. And traditionally they have steamed lobster tails with drawn butter, grilled steak, cold shrimp, potato salad, and baked beans. This year I'm hoping for mashed potatoes also!
Then, on Christmas Day, we'll go to my parent's home for an early dinner and presents, since my family always celebrates on the 25th. Makes it convenient for being able to see both families! Mom is planning turkey and stuffing, green beans, salad, mashed potatoes, bread and cranberries -- basically, Thanksgiving all over again. I'm making an apple pie and Mom will have cinnamon ice cream, which I am learning to like.
Then, on Saturday the 27th, we will have our own Christmas dinner, which will be pretty simple. Baked ham, salad, home-made egg bread, and twice-baked potatoes . . . and I may make another apple pie, depending on how much we take home from Mom's.
How about you?

Christmas Eve we are having dinner at my Mom & Dad's; the plan is turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli (probably a couple other veggies because everyone likes something different), ham and mac n cheese and some rolls. We have pumpkin pie, pecan pie and cake and cookies too.
Christmas Day DH and I are home alone (looking forward to it) and we plan to grill some steaks.
Then Sunday we are having DH's Dad, wife and brother over for dinner; we will do the turkey and all that day too. DH wants me to make a Key Lime pie and FIL is bringing apple pie.
Christmas Eve we will probably go out for an early dinner to our local watering hole.... :)
For Christmas Dinner, it is basically Thanksgiving all over again.

Yummy!!! Sounds great!!! My hunny and I (and our little dog) always spend the night at my parents house on Christmas Eve. I have to work tomorrow until 2:00 and then we're heading down to their house. We drink, laugh, watch family movies and are having tenderloin and crab legs! We are sort of skipping gifts this year because of our Mexico Wedding right after Christmas.

We are going over the FH's parents house on Christmas Eve. They always a ton of food. Shrimp, ham, a whole chicken just for me cause I'm allergic to ham, potatos galore (gotta love the Irish :winktongue:) and all the side dishes and desserts you can think of. I'm sooo hoping for homemade cream puffs.
On Christmas Day we will be going to my grandparents for dinner. I'm thinking we may be having turkey over there, along will all the various sides and desserts.

Our tradition is Christmas breakfast. We all go over to one of my brothers houses and my mom makes every breakfast food imaginable; eggs, bacon, sausage(pork, links, and turkey), ham, fried potatoes, hash browns, hot apple sauce, pancakes (chocolate chip, plain, and strawberry), french toast, fruit salad, biscuits and gravy (sausage gravy and sh*t on a shingle), homemade doughnuts, quiche, and the family favorite corn fritters they're often fought over. I'm in charge of the waffle irons (one's shaped like tweety and sylverster-these are the blueberry flavored, and the other is scooby doo-he's apple cinamon) and buttering the stupid toast, seriously I've been stuck with this job since I was 4 and I think it's time to pass the toast on to either my niece or my son because otherwise all day long my fingers feel greasy. Then we open presents and all go home to spend the rest of the day with our individual families trying not to look at anything resembling food. I think this might be the only time of year that I actually eat breakfast foods because after Christmas breakfast it takes a year to want them again.
I had planned on this big Indian feast for Chad and I on Christmas eve, but I've been making homemade chocolate covered cherries for the last few days and now I don't have time. :( So I'm going to have to come up with something when I get off of work tomorrow. I might make Chad's favorite soup, mushroom barley, and have some fresh bread. Simple, but it will be special to him.
Our families do traditional Christmas meals so I guess that we'll scavenge for whatever we can find that fits into our diets. I might actually bring some leftover soup and bread for us. Or maybe pack a sandwich or two!

We hosted part of FH's family early (over a week ago) and I made herb roasted pork loin, chicken in white wine sauce, cranberry chutney, brown rice pilaf, honey roasted sweet potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and mac and cheese. His family brought green beans (which I was planning to make but his mother brought anyway so we just ate hers), broccoli rice casserole, spinach dip, a relish tray, and a whole bunch of desserts.
For our pre-Christmas with his Grandparents we went out for Mexican tonight.
For Christmas Eve we will be going to a party with his family (I've never been) but I honestly have no idea what to expect. I'm thinking maybe heavy hors d'oeuvres or maybe ham.
Christmas day we're having breakfast with his mom, so I assume pretty traditional breakfast casserole, sausage and bacon, biscuits, and grits. Then I think we're having brunch with my dad and step-mom so it could be more of the same! (that suits me just fine because I LOVE breakfast foods) Then we'll miss out on lunch proper because we'll be driving, but we'll get up to see my family around dinner time This is the first time we'll have done Christmas away from home, so I'm assuming it will be the same stuff we always have - turkey, dressing, roast, mashed potatoes, green beans, squash casserole, etc. but I could get up there and be very wrong!
My family tradition was always to have pizza on Christmas eve so I'm not quite sure how I'll feel about NOT having it this year, but I suppose I'll live! lol.
