I got my dress!

It's big on me and needs to be altered, but I tried holding it up to take some pictures to get the general idea. I'm so excited!!! I loooove it! (Note: I desperately need a freaking tan if I'm going to be wearing a white dress! LOL)

I took the dress to her shop on Saturday. She took my measurements and pinned my dress and we were a little stumped on how to do the bustle, because the little brooch and back detail would be covered with most of the traditional style bustles, and the train is a little too long for french bustling, so we're doing a custom one that we found online.

The grand total for my alterations is going to be $175, but I need it taken it about 2 inches in the top on both sides, she has to take all the seams in on the bodice so it keeps the correct shape, hem it a few inches on bottom AND do the custom bustle, so I think it's definitely a fair price.

i love that bustle. its so unique. was it too long to do the bustle underneath? i like this way much better then it would be anyway. when i went to go to my bustle one of the women said "bustles are so difficult, i wish it was like the old days with the finger loop" and i thouhgt.. NO WAY these dresses are HEAVY now n days

To answer some questions, the train is a chapel length and with not wanting to cover the little brooch on the back, we had to try to find a bustle that worked and the one we found online seemed to work best. I love it. :D

And the designer of the dress is 2BeBride. :D
