What is everyone giving to the wedding party as gifts? We have 7 on each side, plus 2 flowergirls and I don't want to spend too much, but I want nice gifts. Any suggestions?

When I got married, we did beer mugs for the guys with their initials monogramed on them & I gave the girls the jewelry that I wanted them to wear.

We are giving the bridesmaids spa baskets. We havent decided on the groomsmen yet.
Just remember who your bridesmaids and groomsmen are. If you don't think they can use what you give them, then decide on something else. For my sisters wedding she gave everyone little bottles of flavored vodka. I don't drink so the package has been collecting dust on top of my refridgerator ever since. While I don't mean to sound ungratful. She knows I don't drink and that the gift was not something I could use either on the day of the wedding or anytime after the wedding.
So, my advice is to remember who your bridesmaids and groomsmen are...they are all different people. No one said you had to get them all the same thing.

I have to agree with Savvy, remember who your wedding party members are. I would ask questions, like can you wear regular jewelry, or does it need to be 14k gold or more. I was in my brother and sis in laws wedding two years ago and they gave us some nice, but cheaply made jewelry that she wanted us to wear for the wedding. By the time that my sister in law walked up the isle, I had a rash and was scratching like crazy. If you buy your bride's maids earrings, make sure they can all wear earrings. For our attendants, we only have six plus a ring bearer and flower girl, we are giving the guys nice watches that we got on sale for 60 a piece when they were regularly like 160. For the ladies, I am giving them all a heart shaped locket engraved with their initial, which was also on sale. Also, I have seen people give the best man or the Maid of Honor a bigger or more expensive gift. Remember that in most cases the other attendants do just as much work as the BM or MOH. Believe me I know, I did more work as a bride's maid then the MOH at my brother's and sis in laws wedding and was quite choked when they gave all the recognition to the MOH.
As far as gifts for the Flower Girl and Ring Bearer go, I don't think that they need something to comemorate (sorry my spelling is horriable!) the wedding, I think something fun and kid like is better. We will probably give our Flower Girl a nice necklace and locket, but that is because that is what she wants and has asked me for it. As for as my Ring Bearer goes, I think he will probably get something like his favorite toys.
Just remember who your attendants are and ask yourself before you buy something, would I wear this or would I use this? Good Luck with this, I know it took me quite a while to figure out what to get. If you have an engraving store somewhere close, see what they have. They usually (at least they do here in Canada.) have quite a few good ideas for gifts to give your attendants.

We're getting our bridesmaids I have 2 a matron of honor and a bridesmaid so I am going down and purchasing charm bracelets sterling silver which they can add diffrent charms to go in it. And as far as the guys go we are probably just going to do shot glasses with best man on it. Cause he is just having his brother as the bestman and no other guys. I am having 2 flower girls my niece and my fiance's niece and we are getting them pretty little braclets to wear with their dresses, and my ring bear is my 2 year old son and I will probably just get him a truck he loves trucks.
Good Luck and Congratulations on your up coming wedding!

I know what you mean about the gifts. The biggest problem I'm having is that my flower girl will only be a year and a half old, so there isn't much I can give her. I'm thinking of paying for the flower girl dress (which we'll be picking up at some department store around Easter next year) as her gift. I know it's not really a gift for her, but I don't think she'll remember either way anyways. I know I don't remember the gift I got as a flower girl.
My sister-in-law had her flower girl carry a decorated teddy bear down the aisle and she got to keep that. That's an idea if any of you are interested.

Hello,
I am getting married on September 10, 2005, and i bought my two flower girls (one is 6 and the other will be 2 1/2) the cutest flower pot purses, as well as jewellery for their hair to wear on the wedding day as a gift. I will fill the flower pot purses with small goodies (loot bag stuff) and they will get to walk down the aisle with these purses (they are fancy, white with beading, and a nice alternate to real flowers, as the girls are young and the youngest would ruin the flowers before she got down the aisle). Groomsmen are getting flasks withtheir names engraved on them. Bridesmaids are getting jewellery to wear that day ( traditional, I know, but my Matron of Honour wants everyone to wear the same stuff), I am also getting purses made for them to match their dresses and filling up the purses with fun, adult goodie stuff, catered to each bridesmaid.
If you look around you canget great deals on things.
I don't know if any of this is helpful,

I think I will be giving my bridal party something that is very memorable and also very personalized!
A picture of me and each girl with a frame that says - " Only Equals can be friends" - Maya Angelou
A book of coupons with things that they love. For example, a trip to the spa, a night of movie watching and reminiscing, a night of babysitting service, a shampoo and conditioner treatment at your home, a hug anytime, cute things like that. I have some very pretty paper and I will have it bond at Office Max like a real book instead of just stapling the papers together.
GOOD LUCK!

I bought my girls the ever popular Lillian Vernon mini totes, inside I had a gift cert for the salon we used for hair and makeup, some lotion, a notepad and pen, and a few other small thingns.
For the guys, we got them tickets to a Cleveland Browns game. The idea was for all the guys to have a boys day, unfortunetly the day we picked Cleveland was covered in snow and not all of the guys could make it. DH, my brother, my dad, and one of my brothers friends ended up using the tickets, so it was still a good time.

I got the most adorable gift as a BM in a wedding I was recently in... it's a towel wrap with my name personalized on it. It's such a unique gift and something I actually use everyday now.

I love the idea of the personalized towel wraps. I am giving jewelry to the women and personalized pocket watches for the men, plus we are giving personalized toasting glasses to each of the wedding party members. But am still having trouble deciding on what to give our moms...any suggestions?
