I was just wondering what everybodies 'dream job' would be.

Mine would be to be a Horse Whisperer. In fact make that an animal whisperer. I really like animals especially horses. I think they are wonderful and would love to work with them or any animal for that matter.

MY dream job would be to be a farmer's wife and be a mom! So far we're working our way towards both!! :) I can't tell you how much I love the farm life and look forward to babies! (I hope for at least 4 once we get everything figured out! :) )

You know...Ithink that my dream "job", would be a homemaker/mom who did volunteer work with underprivelaged children. Now Joel just needs to get a very well paying job or we need to win the lottery. Aside from that I think that my dream job would be to work as a social worker for a non-profit...except for the pay and all.

If I were to go outside of my field, I think I'd LOVE to be a hippotherapist!

Within my field, I'd like to be an author and work as an adjunct professor at a university; give a lecture or two a week.

OMG Shawna...we are soul sisters!

I too dream of being a farmers wife, and mother....we're on our way too! I work for NBC and Eric works for a Division of Ford Motor Co so we both have challenging careers already...but we both love our HORSES (I HEAR YOU HAYZ!) and the farming life...my dream is a white farm house, sitting in the middle of a big old farm with lots of horses and cows and LOVE all around!

I'll leave out the cattle! lol...as they don't bring much income here in Canada any more...lol...but that big ol' Ranch style home and horses sounds divine!!

hmmm ... Deja vu

Well, ever since middle school I'd wanted to be a photographer. I did that ... I was a wedding photographer for a while, but I quit. Though I enjoyed it and I felt I was pretty good at it, I much prefer to be able to make a living doing photography on a more artistic level ... I really enjoy nature and fine art photography.

Though I still have weddings on the brain half the time (that is why I still do planning on the side and why I stay here) I do enjoy what I do today, I like working on websites and graphics, marketing and such :) I LOVE working from home ... I get to sleep late and work in my PJ's ;) Now if I could make more money at it, I would be all set ;)

I gave up corporate law to teach. The pay isn't that bad and the hours are way better. But don't let anyone foll you with the summers off bs. It doesn't happen.

I think I am going to start working on a Masters degree this year. I'm not quite sure in what. But I would like to getback into behind the scene politics one of these days.

I've worked in the schools as a substitute. Justin has a teaching degree, but he now works for Texas Cooperative Extension as a 4-H Youth and Development Agent. My photographer is a teacher and a friend of mine, one of Justin's best friends is a teacher, and one of our roommate's girlfriend (if you want to call her that) is also a teacher. Our roommate's mother is also a teacher. I've been around the profession and been exposed to it a lot. I graduate in December I probably will not be working as a full time teacher until the 2007/2008 school year :( .

Texas is actually one of the lower paying states for teachers I believe. That sucks, but I can deal with it.

MY DH was going to school to become a teacher but he couldn't handle all the little brats so he gave it up!! Lol...I wonder if I shoudl be worried about that and us having kids...lol. NAH! It was just that they were someone elses little brats. Matthew had a hard time with the fact that he couldn't really have any control over them because you can't really punish them. I admire teachers, I think they put up with a lot of BS!! And that ain't brown sugar!! lol

Forensic scientist.....and I will do it some day. I'm on my road there. Actually, I would jsut do a criminalistics degree.

I just received my associates degree for lab technology to work in a lab in a hospital or clinic...which will get my feet wet for the actual lab work. Then I plan to go back and get my bachelors degree is maybe chemistry with an emphasis in criminalistics or physics. And then get my masters in criminalistics or criminal justice. Yep, I'll be in school forever! I'm happy to finally be done (well in 3 weeks I'll be done) with my associates degree, but I'm just urging to go back already.....probably this time next year you will see me registering for classes again!

That is cool, kind of like CSI ;) I know a lady who is a part time crime scene photographer for the FBI, she said she could get me in too, but I don't think I could handle all that stuff :buck:

Good luck :D

My dream job would also be a stay at home mum (have to wait and see if that will happen) and when the kids are older I would like to look into real estate.
Right now I would love to be a make up artist. :D

I would LOVE to be a crime scene photographer. I love photography as well. I talked to my FH about possibly going back to school next fall, and he said that we will think about it. He doesn't think I want to go back right away, but I do. He wants me to make money and such...but I plan to work fulltime or almost fulltime while I go back to school....my work schedule will accomodate that, so it would be nice.

I would LOVE to be a stay at home mom!! I loved having the house clean and dinner ready when Pat got home, but sadly, we just can't afford it.

It's kinda sad how the world is these days. Most people can't afford it with the cost of everything. The prices and the lifestyles of the people in the USA have just grown accustomed to 2 incomes. For most people it is just the way it is!

Yeah...I mean I would really love to be able to stay at home with my children, when I have them, atleast for the first 5 years...but I don't see how it will even be possible!!!

Well.... i am on my way to being where i want to be. I want to be a graphic designer. Which, i am. But i would love to have my own design company and do mostly wedding invitations, birth announcements, stuff like that. As well as advertising posters for community events and such. I want to be able to work from home so i can set my own hours and be able to be there for my family.
I am really interested in the editorial section of the graphic design feild as well. I would love to work at an interior design magazien or fashion magazine doing layouts and such. Either of those would make me a very happy camper! :D
