Well when I met my fi I was drunk and I actually vomited on his arm. :bbcry: He was nice enough to understand so I decided to ask him out on a date and at first he said he was too busy but I was persistant and now here we are planning our wedding.

Justin and I had known eachother forever. I ran into him at a gas station in our town one evening after work. He was home for spring break and I still lived there. I gave him my number and told him to give me a call while he's in town. Of course, like a typical guy, he never called. I looked on the school website and found his school e-mail address. That was all in March and I didn't hear back from him until August. He called and we met up half way and had dinner at a Chili's. That was almost 4 years ago and we've been happily together ever since.

Doesn't it suck that we had to chase our guys. Sometimes i'm not too sure he even wants to get married. But too bad!! Haha!!

I had to chase him at first, but after the first date he called me the next day and asked me out again. After that first night I never had to worry about any of the guy stuff again. When he proposed I found out that he had been planning how he was going to do it for a whole year.

Mark and i met at a Scouting camp when we in highschool. We spent the intire weekend together. Pretty much inseperable. He asked me out the following tuesday after camp. For our first date we met up and walked all arround town and ended up at the mall were we had fries in the food court before walking back to his mom's house to hang out. His step dad drove me home. Ah.... the days when you were 16!

Matthew and I met over the internet. I'll have to give the full story as it all needs to be there to make sense! lol.
In late September of 2003 I joined a website called Lavalife because I lived with my Grandma in a little town and knew absolutely no one! I was bored to tears and wanted to meet SOMEONE! lol. I picked a good name that I thought guys would want to meet. I filled in my profile and stated that I was looking for a cowboy!! A few weeks later I recieved an email from a guy who seemed really nice. He was 27 and a bullrider. We met the day after my 21st birthday when I was so hung over I thought I might puke! lol. This guy and I went on a few dates when he confessed to me that he was still in love with his ex-GF and only wanted to be friends. (but he still wanted to stay over at my place! NICE! What a guy!! lol And I was finally not living with my Granny anymore! lol just to clear that up) Anyhow, I didn't feel like being tied down at this time anyhow and said we could stay friends and we could still hang out. Suddenly my world came crashing down around me. My aunt who was the biggest chunk of my good life and the one I loved more then life itself, passed away! I was devestated and called "J" for a shoulder to cry on. And do you know that a-hole didn't return my calls!! A week after my aunt was cremated, J called and told me he didn't want to see me anymore. Ok, fine, by that time I was so over him!! JERK! lol. I continued on with my life. It was November by the time I finally got to checking my Lavalife profile again. This time I had a message from another guy who seemed sweet but I was still hurting from losing my aunt!!! (I can't even begin to start about how much I love her and miss her to this day!!!) It took me a good three weeks to finally message the poor guy back! That poor guy would turn out to be the man I married! lol. When I finally did, we agreed to chat over msn for a while and he got up the courage to ask for my phone number. I gave him my cell because I didn't want him to have my home number in case he was a creep! lol. Well Matt called me for the first time on December 24th as I was packing to go to my parents for Christmas time. We talked and really hit it off!! I really liked him. The whole time I was at my parents house I was thinking of him. December 26th rolled around and I made some lame excuses of needing some ME time and headed home! I called Matt that night and left a message for him to call me if he got in before 11 pm. That night at 5 to eleven my phone rang! It was him. We chatted until the wee hours of the morning, laughing and killing our phone batteries on both our cordless home phones and then on our cell phones! I was really falling for this guy and I had only talked with him over the phone! I was so scared to meet him because of what had happened with J. BUT I gave in and we set up a date for December the 31st, to see a movie and if things went well we would hang out for the rest of the night. I was a nervous bundle of nerves that night! My room mate wasn't there and to be honest I was a little worried he might be some axe murderer or something but I gave him the directions to get to my house and got ready. When I first set eyes on him, I have to be honest my first thought was, this guy is not my type, but as the night went on I could feel there was soemthing there. He was nervous and shy and barely talked but he was REALLY sweet!! He is the only guy who ever brought me flowers on a date!!! We went out and had a great time, hung out after wards and when he left we hugged and promised to call! The next day I called him and told him, i wanted to be just friends. He was hurt. I don't know why I said that, I knew I was kidding myself, but there was something I couldn't wrap myself around. (maybe I was still telling myself I didn't want to be tied down! I dont know) He hung up and I didn't hear from him for a week! I was getting worried and I missed hearing his voice so I called him up. We decided we'd be friends and hang out! Two weeks later we were dating seriously! Three months after that, we were engaged to be married! I am so happy I didn't let him slip away! HE is my soul mate and I love him to death!!

I met my husband on a dating site on the web. I had been a member for about 6 months and had dated some really nice guys. This one particular night however i was home bored and thought it might be fun to strike up a conversation with someone to pass the night. he was online and we started talking. he was used to working nights and was trying to get used to now working days and having a hard time sleeping. I should say that I was not looking for anyone on a permanent basis or even someone to date seriously. I lived in a small town and had promised my daughter that she could stay in school till she graduated. Well my soon to be husband lived about one hour away. We talked till the wee hours that first night and had soooo much in common. We continued to talk each and every day all the time. After about 2 weeks I called his cell phone. We once more talked most of the night. He knew going into this that i didn't want to move and had to keep my promise. He also knew I had a 3 strike your out rule. We met after having talked about 3 weeks. We picked a small town close distance to both of us. It was absolutely wonderful. We have been inseparable ever since. He asked me numerous times to move in with him and I kept saying NO. We started dating in August of 2005 and in sept. he stood me up because something had come up with his kids. I told him that was his first strike. In october he surprised me with tickets to go to Talladega, AL to the nextel nascar races for the weekend. Then wanted to know if this would take away his strike? It took away serveral in advance. haha. we continued dating and were never apart. I knew he was the one when he drove an hour on valentine's day to bring me flowers at my night job when the flower shop screwed up his order and didn't deliver them that day. He said the day would not go by without me getting his flowers. He delivered them to me as said at work and visited with me till i got off and then he returned home. I knew then that I couldnt' wait for 3 years to go by and should not let the love of my life get away because of a promise I had made. But we had to have the blessing of my daughter and believe it or not, my ex-husband. I agreed to move in with him only if he could talk my daughter and ex into it. He did. But before moving in he proposed to me at my ex husbands house. We were married a little over a week ago. I advise all my friends to try internet dating. I am a firm believer in it now.

Eric and I met at a horse show year-end convention, he and I both were members of the ARHA and had seen eachother at the shows but we were both struggling through our divorces and it wasn't a good time then.
February 5, 2005 I was sitting at the banquet feeling lonely and on the verge of going home (2.5 hr drive), when he walked in...I almost fainted, there he was the one guy that had turned my head and he was walking straight at me (actually the buffet line, he nodded and said "howdy" and walked right on). Our mutual friends took control (after I plowed one down and was asking all kinds of questions about him) Lanny (the friend) sat me down next to his wife and went over to Eric, asked him how he'd like to meet a tall cold drink of water (cowboy term for tall goodlooking woman) and had Eric in tow in minutes. Eric and I talked, he got up went back to his table and then came to dance with me for the first 5 dances, (he had to leave early to go to work) we talked, he asked for my number and he called me the very next day...I lived in another town at the time so we kept the phone lines hot until I moved (ex husband was causing my life to be hell so I searched for a job, found it and moved). The rest is history...we're planning our wedding, buying a farm and going to raise cattle, quarter horses and babies!

Jason and I met at a bar. I walked in and noticed his beautiful eyes and told a mutual friend I wanted to meet him. He came over and we talked for a bit. Later on that night he asked for my number and the rest is history. Our first date which was 2 days after we met, we went to the movies and watched "Training Day" what a great date movie...yeah right...LOL! Total boy movie...LOL! But I liked being with him so it was all good! That was 4 and 1/2 years ago and we are totally two halves of a whole....my life partner...aww I love him!!

Brian and I "met" online. We talked online for one day, talked on the phone for 3 and HAD to meet....... He wanted to cook me dinner. Well I had some problems getting to his house that day, but when I finally got there, I was totally unexpecting this amount of physycal attraction. Apparently it was mutual because we were so caught up in each other that dinner burned! I made up for it by cooking him dinner 3 nights later.
After 3 weeks of dating, I found out that he was my older half-brother's childhood best friend. They were friends from the 2nd grade until my brother moved to East Texas to live with our dad when he was in the 9th grade. Brian says weve met before when I was like 6 and he was 12, but I dont remember that. I think hes mistaking my little sister for me, but whatever.
Weve talked about back in the beginning, did we ever imagine we would end up where we are. He said from the 1st moment he spoke to me, he knew I was special and that his life was never going to be the same!

Jamie and i met online too (kinda), i used a chat room and used to meet up with a lot of the girls for coffee mornings, apparently Jamie used this chatroom too but whilst i used it mostly day times he was a night surfer. I went along to one of our chatoom meets one day and he was there with a girl who he was quite friendly with, We got chatting and exchanged telephone numbers, and became really good friends (both thinking we were quite safe 'cos of the age difference). Before either of us knew it we were head ove heels in love lol and the rest is history as they say!!

I met my FH on line as well. We were both members of a quiz chat room. I was no good at the quizes. I never got any questions right. But he always did. Well he and I were friends for some time online. We were both invloved with some one else for most of our friend ship. We were kinda intrested in each other but one or the other was always invovled. We talked off and on on IM alot. I called him one day ( he gave me his number incase I needd or wanted to talk ) to talk about the guy he knew that just dumped me. He had JUST started seeing some one on line. This was in October. We talked as friends untill the new year. He was broke up with the girl and I was not with any one. But tryign to work it our some what with that other guy. Well Nicholas and I finaly got together in June of 2003. We had a phone and computer thing for about 7 month ( he lived 13 hours away). I couldnt take the long distnace any more so Ibroke up with him and ended up hookingup and movign inwith some local guy. THis was jsut after new years of 2004. I kept in touch with Nicholas telling him every thing was good wtih me. By the time Christmas hit I figured out what had been bothering me for months. I figured out what was missing in my life. Nicholas! I called him Christmas night after telling the guy I was living with that it was over. ( went into it a little more then that ) I told him I still loved him and if he wanted a second chance he HAD to be HERE. He though tI was calling to tell him I was getting married. 2 weeks later he was here for 4 days. I met him at the airport and we spent those 4 days at a hotel about 30 mins. from wher I lived. ( was still at the ex's place as I could not afford to move yet ) I got an apartment and he ws here the week of Valentines Day for the whole week. He gave me a promise ring to make sure I knew he would be back and he asked me to marry him. A moth later ( after an year drum busting and him notbeing able to fly so it delayed itlong then he planed ) he was here to live with me and my kids. We have been back together for 1 1/2 yrs and we will be married in 10 days. He is my one true love and I am so glad he waited for me. He said he tried to date but every time he went on a date he was comparing her to me. Everyhting he did or every song he heard and eveyr movie he saw made him think of me. He is here with me and I will never let him go.
Sorry that was a long one too.

Well, Joel and I met at work. We both worked for a mortgage company at the time (we were still in school). Anyways...when I first met him I was right at the tail end of my 4 year realtionship with my ex-fiance. We did not really know each other or say much to each other at forst. I thougt he was gorgeous though. He had to sexiest eyes that I had ever seen. Anyways...a few weeks after we met was the office Christmas party. I had a date...not teh ex-fiance...and Joel didn't, but we were all at the same table. I talked to him abit more that night...and already knew that he was special, but didn't think that he would be interested in me. Well finally one day we were forced to work in teh same office together. That day we talked for hours and at teh end of teh day I asked him when he was gonna take me out. This was a Friday...and he said...how about next Tuesday. Well on Monday we had lunch together and at teh end of the day we were walking to our cars and I asked him what his plans were. He said that he was going Christmas shopping and asked if I wanted to go...which of course I did. I ended up meeting his father that night, we went shopping, then went to dinner. Then next night we had our original first date...which ended up being dinner and hanging out at his best friends house, where I was introduced as his girlfriend. Well, and the rest is history...that was 3 1/2 years ago!!!

Josh and I met thru my sister. His daughter was on my niece's soccer team, and when my sister saw him at the first practice (he was assist. coaching), she called me up and told me about him. She told him about me too, using my height and the 'blonde' part of my personality as the description. We met at the first game of the season. My mother was there and metioned how "hot" he was and that I better go for it or she would hurt me. Little did we know that his ex-wife was sitting just a few feet away.
He came to my sister's house later that day for a bbq, and when we got ready to go out w my sister and her husband, Josh sat my son down and asked his permission to take me out. Nico told him "NO, you need to stay here w me!!". IT was cute. We went out to shoot pool, and then to a party, and have been together ever since.
I later found out that Josh was supposed to be designated driver for his roommate, who was at the same party, but ditched him once he met me. heehee. :bbmrgreen:

Jason and I met playing an online role playing game. We ran around together on Tatooine, Dantooine, Naboo, and some other Star Wars' planets (ya, we're dorks) for a couple months before I gave him my phone number. He helped me through an awful break up with my boyfriend at the time. I was going up for my yearly visit to my mother (I lived in Texas at the time) and decided I was going to stop by and visit him on my way up.
Well, having driven straight through, I looked like poop. To top it off, I had gotten ready in a rest area, throwing a little water on my face and toweling myself off. We met in a church parking lot and then I followed him to a restaurant. He ordered my favorite meal, even though I said I wasn't hungry. The waitress had just gotten engaged the night before and she said that we looked so happy together right as we walked in. Afterwards, we went to his house and I clunked out in his bed. Some first date...but it's been true love ever since! :)

Our first date was Valentine's Day 2004. We had been hanging out with friends for about 2 or 3 weeks before and decided to have an "us" day. I drove up and he met me with the most adorible card (I still remember exactly what it says..A special card for a special girl on a special day. Here's to many more special times together!) He also gave me a bag of hershey kisses. Then we went to dinner at a little pizza place and rented a movie. Pirates of the Carrabine. It was a wonderful night that I will always remember. Of course we will be seeing the second movie once it comes out and he gets me a bag of hershey kisses for all special occasions now!
