Vendors: *this is a general statement for all vendors and not directed at anyone particular*
You will get the most out of your time here if you try to be a part of the community and post about more than just what you do. After you have been here for a while, you will be able to put a link in your signature and people will see that in all your posts.
If the majority of your posts are generally friendly and helpful and not just about your services then people are not as likely to think badly of you when you do talk about what you do.
For new members:
We hope that if you have taken the time to join that you actually want to be a part of the community. So post an intro and share with us, have fun and make friends!
If you just want to promote something, sell something, ask for votes, etc; this is not the place for you.
In reference to digging up old posts: In most cases it is better to start your own topic thread rather than to "dig up" or reply to an old thread that hasn't been active/replied to in months or even years.
For everyone old or new:
If you have a problem with a thread, post or member, please just report it! Reported posts are sent to all the moderators, and we will look into the issue. There is no need to "call out" someone on the open board and stir things up; whether you think they are a spammer or whatever. We hate spam/abuse and such just as much as you do, but we don't want to scare people away that may not have such intentions and have just gotten misunderstood or something.
If you have a question about something, check the FAQ forum, the answer is probably there. If you can't find the answer to your question there, then you can post about there or contact a Moderator via PM; or you can email forum support (forumsupport@onewed.com) if you are too new to use the PM system.
And as always; try to remember the line between disagree and disrespect ... behind the posts here are real people with real feelings. Whether you agree with them or not (no one is saying you have to always agree), there is always a nice way to put things. Show compassion or at least be tactful and not smug, snarky or plain rude! If some topic really gets to you and for whatever reason you can't convey your thoughts without tact and consideration, then don't reply at all ... think before you type and "play nice" ;)
The moderators will continue to edit, move, merge, split, delete, etc, any posts/threads where we see fit in accordance to the rules and guidelines of our board.
We want this board to be a fun, friendly and helpful place that everyone enjoys being a part of. We all know there are plenty of other less than friendly and drama/spam filled boards out there.
Come here for wedding planning chat and stay for the friends and other chat :D
