I really should have the tripod out to take this pic but until I do ... here is our slightly fuzzy Christmas house, blanketed under our first "real" snowfall :)
"real" = substantial :)
Our Christmas tree (when we get it) is going in the front room ... most probably in the corner that is showing rather than in front of the window)

Cute, we haven't gotten around to getting out outdoor lights up yet. With the recent rain and DH working on getting the bathroom done by Christmas, we may not :(

I hear ya ... we have been busy with orders, plumbing mishaps, and trying to get the guest bedroom painted and ready for guests. There aren't enough hours in the day!
Funny thing about the LED lights ...... we bought 8 boxes of lights and we still didn't have enough to do the bushes on the left! I am just glad we didn't plan on putting them up on the house. Next year we will buy more sets because I don't plan on going into debt this year, just to light up the house.

LOL it's missing the deer grazing and the cardinals sitting on an evergreen. I should have set a fire too so that there would be smoke coming out of the chimney.

Thanks Jeanne :)
I have to say ... the lights are pretty much buried now. We have had about another 2-3 inches of snow and 7 more is expected to fall today. Hmmmm better hang them off the house next year I guess LOL
Very nice! We don't need to put lights in our yard, our neighbors put enough in there's that it illuminates ours. lol

Cool! Take some pics.
I keep threatening DH that I am going to go overboard some year. I told him that I would throw up a gazillion lights, even more moving figures and make it "the tacky Christmas house" that people talk about
Honestly .... all I really want to do is paint a super big Santa (a la Coke style) + reindeer and put them on the front lawn with flood lights.

I think that would be super neat! I threaten FH that whenever we get into our apartment I'm going to be a crazy decorator for all the holidays, but especially Thanksgiving & Christmas:)
I finished putting up the decorations at our house(my mom & dad's) last night and my Dad came in and said going a little overboard on the decorating, heh? I told him no, and kept right on pulling stuff out of boxes:)
I love Christmas!

DH claims that I have too many ornaments for the tree ... I just don't get what the heck he's talking about??? There is no such thing as a tree with too many ornaments  If there is a free branch after I am done decorating the tree, then there is always room for one more :)

The house looks very nice!!:)
I wanted to decorate outside our condo, but with all of the construction going on, it would be pointless. They're going to be ripping out our front stairs any day now, and our back deck is only about 3/4 of the way finished.
I would love to see some more pics from other houses, though......come on everyone, let's see your decorations!!

Thanks Val! We got the lights at Costco so they were pretty cheap (as compared to other places) but we didn't buy all that we needed so when we went back they were gone. If I don't find them for a good price after Christmas, I will be sure to get enough at Costco next year.
That's not my santa coke pic .... just showing the style that I want to use when I paint my santa & reindeer (ie realistic / classic look). :)
I agree with NurseLau84 .... come on ladies .... post some outdoor holiday decor. Even if it's not yours.
I challenge you to find and then take a pic of the most outrageous holiday house in your area :)

This is the home of a UK based Electrician. Costs £700 in Electric for the three weeks it is lit. He also opens the house to the public. Last year He raised £6,000 for Charity.

I know this is a little late, but with the holidays I am just getting a chance to catch up on here! Here are our outdoor decorations-it's not from this year, but we did the exact same thing. Last year was the first year I lived in a neighborhood, so I was super excited to decorate the outside. I loved it!

Thanks! It takes us a couple of hours. We usually get it done in one afternoon, easily. This year we had some trouble running it correctly, though. We kept blowing fuses .
