2008 Best Of OW - Need your nominees

The 2008 Best Of OW Awards are coming soon!

We need your nominees; here are the categories (in no spesific order) ...


1. "Funniest posts" - This would be a member you feel makes the funniest posts

2. "Friendliest member" - Of course this would be the member you feel is most friendly and welcoming.

3. "Best overall advice" - The member you feel offers the best overall advice

4. "Best journal" - The member you feel has the best journal; this can be either a planning or after wedding journal.

5. "Best budget tips" - Member you feel has offered the best money saving tips.

6. "Most helpful Mr/Mrs (already married)" - Most helpful married member

7. "Best DIY'er" - Member with the best DIY projects

8. "Best planning tips" - Member with the best overall planning tips

9. "Best overall vendor" - Vendor you feel contributes the most to the board.

10. "Most helpful staff member" - The moderator you feel is most helpful.

11. "MVNM 2008" (most valuable new member this year) - This nominee would be someone that joined around Jan-Mar of this year.

12. "Best Up and Coming" - This nominee would be a new member that joined in the last 3-4 mos.


Post here in this thread the member names you would like to nominate in each category. You cannont nominate yourself ;)

Take your time to choose who you want to nominate and only post once with all your nominees.

We will take nominees for the next week or so, then the mods will review the nominees and start posting polls to vote for the winners in each category.

The same person can be nominated more than once and in more than one category, but they will only be able to be in the runing in one category. The final decion on where such a person would run will be up to the moderators based on the amount of nominees and where we feel they belong.

All winners will recieve a "Best Of OW 2008" blinkie banner for their signature and a few special category winners will recieve a small cash (actually a check) prize. The cash prize categories will not be revealed until after the winners are chosen so don't ask ;)

Of course we love all our members and value each and every one of you all and your contrubutions to the board, but this is just a fun way to recognize those that post a lot.
