So the past two nights, I've had dreams about having a baby. A little boy, too be specific. It's a little weird, because usually when I dream about having children, I have puppies or this blue teddy bear I've had since I was a little girl. I know some of my other girlfriends have had the same experience, so I think it's normal. But now I'm dreaming about having an actual baby with ten fingers and ten toes and my nose. I have no idea where this is coming from!

FH and I haven't talked about having children in at least two months. He wants to wait a year, while I want to wait closer to four, and that's if I can even have children. My doctor has told me it will be extremely difficult (my mother had difficulty conceiving, and since I've been pre-menopausal for two years, it's not looking good for me). This all just struck me as very weird.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Never say Never. If it is meant to be it will happen.
Those are the things that kept me trying for 3 years to get pregnant. I had 3 miscarriages. The last one I was on fertility treatments and had released 7 eggs. It didn't work for me but that doesn't mean that it won't for you. They have advanced so far in the last 20 years it is amazing what fertility doctors can do.
Make sure that the correct diagnosis is perimenopause. It could be PCOS. That is treatable and you can have children. Might be high risk but well worth the effort.
I would have dreams like those before I would get pregnant.

It's interesting that you say you've had dreams about babies that actually end up to be puppies.

I recently had a dream I had a baby boy, and to visit him, I had to go to an elevator. He was in a little carriage, and I looked in and saw him. Then I sat down in the elevator, afraid to hold him out of fear that I'd "break him" (a real concern I've had, as I've never held a baby). Then, I got bravery to hold him, and it turned into a carriage full of kittens.

I took it to mean that what I really want right now is kittens... but I still want kids someday.

Sara, I've had dreams like that too. I've had baby dreams a lot - my hubby and I both have baby-itus. We're trying to hold off for another year before we even start, but it's hard. We are trying to push through our dreams and wait till we're more prepared.

You name it, I've been tested for it. They've ruled out PCOS. I've had my period since the summer before fourth grade. My body just hates me.

I told FH about my dream. He got all excited and was like does this mean we'll be trying sooner? Yeah not so much honey.
