View Full Version : Pink Invitations
Hello Ladies! I would like some website links, pics, suggestions, etc. PLEASE. I want invitations with color (prefer pink and white). I am absolutely NOT going to DIY them. (NO WAY FOR ME) I really, really want to stay on a budget. I need 75 invites and 75 RSVPs. Right now, the ONLY invites I have found that I like will end-up being a total of ~$250. I would like to find a colorful invite that I like for less. Our wedding colors will be pink, lavender & silver. I want a white background or white accents on the invite (no black, no pearl, no ecru) and I want a "larger" invite (not one of those smaller, rather cheap-like invites you see). I have searched and searched with no luck.
Can anyone help??? Thanks So Much In Advance!!
Also, our wedding is CASUAL, OUTDOORS, FUN, AT A PARK, and NOT FANCY and NOT COUNTRY... just "fun" themed... and NO ROSES... I like carnations and Gerber Daisies.
(Geez... picky aren't we?? lol)

You could try searching esty.com for an invitation designer.

Try VistaPrint - they are fairly cheap and have some nice designs. Right now you can get 10 for $10.99 plus shipping. Occassionally you can get 10 for free - just need to keep an eye out for the specials.

What about self print? Not DIY the whole invitation but just printing them out. You could save some money and it wouldn't require much work. The kits at mygatsby seem pretty nice and come in every color, they are considered DIY but its really just print and assemble. Most invitations require you to assemble them yourself anyway.

I'd suggest seal-n-sends (seal-n-send.com). They are a long invite that folds up into a postcard-size mailing (still need regular postage though). They have a detachable postcard for the RSVP, they print the return address for you on the invite and RSVP card, many color/font choices, and they send out free samples. They are a more simple invite and were the perfect choice for us (rather informal wedding). They run a little over $100 for 100, and have sales for free shipping if you get on their mailing list and wait it out. I saw a few styles that could fit your criteria, but once they are folded I'd still describe them as "small."
You just have to fold them, attach the seal, and address. No inserts--definitely a plus for us.
I also would not consider printing them. That is a lot of ink cost, printer wear & tear, etc. Most of the kits I saw would have been close to the cost of ordering them by the time you added in ink costs and whatever.
Okay... I realize my question hasn't been posted long so I'm going to wait and see if more people respond Monday (tomorrow) but... NOW I'm wondering... do most people spend $4/$5+ PER invitation?? For real??? So, I should possibly consider $250 a steal for 75 invites?? I luv the invites I found but was thought that was semi-expensive (they are weddingpaperdivas.com invites). I sure am curious as to what some people are spending on invites?? Spending $300 to $500 (or more) for 75 invites just seems terribly expensive to me...
BTW, I don't want to print my own, even though that is a good suggestion...again, I don't want to trust myself.

A few dollars per is supposedly average (per Google). Eek! I know I've gotten some really fancy ones in the mail before. I just don't see a lot of added value in the fancy invites over something that looks nice and gets the job done. I wouldn't say $250 is a steal, but it's below average. Depends on how much your total wedding budget is too (if it's a low budget wedding, invites may not be the best area to splurge unless it's really important to you; big-ticket items like venue, food, DJ are going to eat a lot of your budget).

I decided to check-out VistaPrint for invites and tey had one predesigned thing I loved. I screwed around with making my own invite this week and A LOT more today ~ I think I'm going to order a sampe of 10 (for free) and if I like them, this is where I will go, for sure! I have loved everything I have gotten from them so far. The fact that they have wedding invites is just a huge, wonderful savings for me! Thanks again for the idea! :)

I would say check out etsy.com because that way you can get a custom invite exactly how you want it and you can usually find a reasonable price because the designers will bid on your order.
