I have been waiting all morning for my dress, slip, tiara, and bag to come in. The package arrived a moment ago and everything but my dress is there. The packing slip says the dress is on backorder! HOLY CR@P!

There is no estimated date of delivery listed either, so I sent then am email immediately asking when I can expect the dress. Oh my. I need to find something out today to see if I need to find another dress (which I don't have money for) in case my dream dress doesn't work out.

That stinks! They could have at least called or emailed you to let you know ahead of time! I hope they contact you back and you get your dress in time! I would just keep on them about the dress. Is there a number you can call about the dress? Good luck and I hope everything works out for you!

Yeah, I definitely would've liked to have known ahead of time.

I'm going to call them tonight after I get off work if I don't hear back from them. So far, their customer service has been great, so I really, really hope that this works out. I do not want to have to settle for another dress, especially when this dress is the one I planned our colors and everyone's attire around...

I ordered Oct. 20 and was told it would be enough time. On a good note, the rest of the shipment did arrive about 2 weeks earlier than I expected, but I'm just really concerned that the dress is on backorder now.

Oh wow. That's a heartattack. I can't believe you didn't get a head's up on that! The build up and anticipation followed by the "what the heck!" when you opened the package must have been horrific.

I'd get on the phone and do some demanding - especially noting that the rest of that stuff is pointless unless you get the main event. Good luck! Let us know what happens.

You seem much calmer than I would ever be! You're doing good just hang in there, not much can change between now and when you get off work. Just keep reminding yourself it will all work out. And who knows maybe for the frustrations they will give you a discount...keep your fingers crossed.

I wonder...since you got everything else 2 weeks earlier than you should have, could it just be that it's not scheduled to be finished until 2 weeks? Maybe they didn't really mean "back-ordered"??? IDK, but I have been thinking about this all day and wondered if this is a possibility...make sure you let us know as soon as you find out!

Ok, so not much news this evening either, I'm afraid. The lady I need to speak with will be in tomorrow...

Candars, I have been wondering the same thing and really hoping that that is the case. It was just such a shock to open the box and not have the dress... no warning or anything.

I have tried so hard not to freak out today, but I'm seriously on the verge of tears. I don't know what I'll do if I have to hunt for another dress. Everywhere I've checked online so far says the earliest (even with rush delivery) I could have a dress is 6-8 weeks, and if it ends up being closer to 8 weeks, I'm screwed.

OK, UPDATE!!!

I called this morning, and the lady there was very helpful! Basically, it was the scenario I was hoping for. The other stuff shipped early, and my dress is still scheduled to arrive in a couple weeks (before the end of the month!) She said everything would be fine!

So now I can breathe....

I can imagine how you felt mine is due Mid Jan and I would be Very nervous if it was back ordered!

That was the first thing i thought of too. Not the fact the Dress was late but that the rest was early. Must have still been a shock to open it and find it missing.

Glad everything worked out. Can't wait to see pictures of the Dress.
