Because I'm about to tell you my recipe for Party Potatoes - and they're INCREDIBLY not good for you, but so incredibly yummy that you won't be able to pass them over. It was my birthday yesterday, and every year I ask FH (before him I would ask my parents) to make me party potatoes.
Here they are!!!!!
2 lbs. frozen hash browns (the small square ones), thawed
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. diced onion
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
16 oz. sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. crushed corn flakes
2 tbsp. butter, softened
Mix together hash browns and butter. Add in onion, cheese, sour cream, soup, salt and pepper. Put in 9x13" pan. Combine the corn flakes and softened butter and add to the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
